I need to lose weight fast and i cant be bothered to wait ages for the results, is a 500 calorie diet any good? -

im 5foot3 n i need to lose weight cus am 12 stone n im sick of waiting n i wanna lose this lard quick but is a 500 calorie diet okay for my health for 8 weak s or do u think 800 calorie is more suitable?..please answer, and also if i was to go on the diet how much weight would i lose in 8weaks?

Try cutting your leg off that s pretty quick or more simpler don t eat as much!

No. The quickest way to lose weight is to eat 500 calories a day less than what you need for maintenance (ex: someone on a 2000 calorie diet has 1500 instead). Eating less than 1200 calories only puts your body in starvation mode where it actually slows your metabolism down!

no - you will starve and make yourself ill, your body will start breaking down muscle instead of fat, you ll become weak and feel awful, you can lose a significant amount of weight in 8 weeks just by cutting down your intake of fatty and sugary foods and increasing your exercise regimen. you should aim to eat around 1200-1500 calories per day - a good balanced diet and drink plenty of fluids, 30 mins of aerobic exercise at least 5 times a week - something that gets your heart beating fast, makes you sweat and gets you out of breathplease don t starve yourself - you will lose some weight at 500 calories per day but when you return to eating normal you will pile it all back on and probably more, and if you don t return to eating normal, you will become ill, your skin will suffer, your likely to grow more hair all over your body and your teeth will suffer.

1) 500 calories a day? VERY unhealthy2) losing too much too quick? VERY unhealthyIf you want to lose weight healthily and keep it off, then you need to lose it gradually. A healthy, balanced diet and some exercise should get you there. If you go on a crash diet like that, the weight will most likely come right back, and that yoyoing won t do you any good. Don t set unrealistic goals for yourself, b/c if you aren t able to meet them, you re only going to make it harder on yourself.

you should try a meal replacement diet, such as the cambridge diet, you can lose about a stone a month. If your gonna do a 500 cal diet, be careful as u will get ever so weak.

Im also 5ft 3 :DAnyway, dont take it too far and you should consault a doctor first before any major dieting.

I have started this Diet (lifestyle change) in the middle of November at 140lbs, and now at 117lbsA DIET IS WHAT YOU EAT....there for we are all on a diet....THINK LIFESTYLE CHANGEYou got the change the way you think and feel about foodTRY THIS, and stick to it.The first 3-4 weeks are the hardest until your body adjusts to the change. Results will be in about the same timeFruits and VeggiesEat more plants and keep away from stuff that was made in plants.Don t eat anything that comes in a can, box or package.........THEY HAVE ADDITIVES IN THEM THAT MAKE YOU ADDICTED TO THE FOOD.....If man made it, don t eat itNO white BREAD or SUGARNO PIZZA, I am in the pizza business, and it is not good for you, very high in FAT and CaloriesNO FRIED FOOD...Stay away from FAST FOODNO POP, SODA or FIZZY DRINKSWalk your dog, or walk a friends dogDon t think of it as a diet, but think of it as a lifestyle changeI have lost 20.5 pounds in 2 months, drink lots of water. I usually eat a meal of what ever I want once a week....controlled portion....this really works.........Write down every thing you eattake a multivitamin at night

if its fast u want this is the stuff i use it and its free .wicked

500 calories a day will cause almost irreparable damage to your internal organs as you re effectively malnourished. A previous answer was not far off the mark when they said you need 1200 calories just to stay alive. 1200 is about right if you intend to actually wake up and walk around, 800 will just keep your body alive and your internal organs functioning.A better plan is to keep your calorie intake more healthy at around 1500-1800 and exercise instead. The exercise will build toned muscle tissue which is an active tissue i.e. it burns calories even when it s resting, which will increase your metabolism way more than just starving yourself. Quite correctly, your body will think you re starving and hold on to any calories you do eat so your fat stores will be the last thing to go.I trained like crazy for a competition a few years ago and i was eating 5000 calories a day and exercising for 3 hours a day. I was losing 2-3lbs a week of pure bodyfat. This is extreme and not to be recommended, but the principle is the same.Stick to healthy whole foods - not vegetarian - and cut out the junk and sugars. Drink chilled water instead of soda s (your body has to burn calories to heat the water up inside you). Drink black coffee without sugar (if you can) as the caffeine will increase your metabolism. Exercise before you have breakfast as this will burn more fat than doing it afterwards.Don t bother with the fad diets. All they do is malnourish you in a way you don t feel empty. There is no magic pill but the fatburner supplements do help if they re used with exercise and healthy diet.

weeeeeeeeell..your body NEEDs 1200 calories to properly function, so eat 1200 calories and do cardio for a while (usually 30 min of cardio burns 200-300 calories)yes, you need to eat to lose weight. if you dont your body will begin to save every calorie it can...so you would lose weight but when you eat normally it would come back faster than it came off :]
