I am looking for weight loss tips for vegetarians.? -

I m not in bad shape,but lower body needs toned and I just purchased an elliptical trainer. I want eat right but it is so expensive being a vegetarian unless i want salad everyday. Any tips on low cost (i m a college student) recipes or snacks for an ovo-lacto vegetarians?

Try thick slices of cucumber in your soup, it fills but does not add to your weight.And best tip of them all: drink a big glass of water before each meal. You don t want it to be mushy once you bake it.While that s cooking, drain the box of tofu and put it into a medium/small bowl. Squish with a fork into small pieces.Add the parsley, basil and garlic (add more of the spices you like best). I mix in a lot of all three. Blend with your fork but don t squish the tofu into too tiny of pieces.Then, grate your mozzarella. Use 1/3 to 1/2 of a block of vegan gourmet mozzarella. Put aside.Drain pasta. Put the pasta into the pan. Add all of the tofu ricotta mix. Mix them together.Now pour your pasta sauce on top of the pasta/ricotta mixture. Pour a little more sauce than you think, so it doesn t dry out.Mix all three ingredients well. You can even put some of the extra ricotta on top, if you had any left over.Once you ve mixed the pasta, ricotta and sauce so that it s equally spaced in the pan, simply add the vegan gourmet mozzarella on top. Use as much as you like.It s important to spray the top of the cheese with your Pam or other oil spray. This makes the cheese on top melt smoothly and have a golden color when it s done.Bake on high, at least 400 degrees (even up to 500) until it bubbles. Can some one please help me? I m jus t under 5 feet and I weigh about 120 lbs. This summer I was 105! I have no idea how I gained all this weight but i dont think I ll grow much more b/c my mom is very short and it s been over a year since I got my period. you are doing pretty good..just keep it up the only thing that i recommend you to do is drink at least 8 cups of water a day so u lose the pounds faster,, nd to eat 4 to 5 small meals..what that does it will increase ur metabolism and burn fat faster..i remember i did this for 2 months and i went from 2 15 to 190! hope it works

I m dealing with the same thing. I think I need to lose more than that but I don t really have a goal, I just wanna look better. Okay. What I m doing is -Riding my bike every day, nonstop for about 30 minutes. EVEN if you get tired, don t stop, I only stop if I feel shaky. -Do you have a younger sibling? Take him/her to the park and let them play while you swing. Great for your legs.-Eat smaller proportions more often. Have a small breakfast within an hour of waking up, a small snack like an hour later, lunch an hour later, a snack an hour later, dinner an hour later, and if its before 7 an hour later, one more snack.-try sticking to only water or tea, but in the mornings have OJ or milk-I know it sounds weird but you stay healthier if you go to sleep around 9 or 10 ( I don t use this one LOL) and then wake up at about 7-10. That is very easy. I used to weigh 160lbs then I joined the weight management program. we were asked monitor our food intake and our excercise. Im now 115lbs. Is this is a healthy weight loss routine?!? -

soccer training/game twice a week, gym for an hour (weights and cardio) all other days except sunday. no drinks other than water (and the occasional drink at a party, im not gonna lie!) and no chocolate.. and just general healthy eating? the goal is to lose 7 kgs (i think thats about 15 pounds?) in 10 weeks (my year 12 formal).. just wondering if that s healthy, and if its achievable!?

It s a very healthy routine! It s also achievable, though it is ambitious so make sure you stick to your plan and don t cheat. (You can help motivate yourself by promising to allow yourself to eat all the chocolate you want for one day after your formal.)Here are some tips about the healthy eating:(1) Cook from scratch. Making pre-made foods from boxes, etc. is not very healthy. Choose your ingredients carefully, and read the labels on everything you eat. This isn t just to count calories, but to watch out for really bad stuff like saturated and trans fats, and to make sure you get the good stuff.(2) If you re working your body as hard as you said, you need your nutrition more than ever. Really make sure you eat lots of fish and poultry for protein, and lots of fruits and vegetables for vitamins. Don t eat fried food. If you use oil when you cook, use olive oil. It s less fattening and it s actually good for your body and doesn t clog arteries.(3) Try to avoid restaurants. Even the salads sometimes have over 1,000 calories! Just try going to the website of your favorite chain restaurant some time and look at the nutrition info (it s usually on the website). You ll be amazed at how much fat and how many calories are in some things!!Good luck!

It s definitely a healthy fat loss routine. Don t forget that all that training will help you build muscle mass which weighs more than fat. You may not see the numbers on the scale move but you will be losing inches and seeing results in your shape. Good luck!

it sounds like a healthy way to live but I don t know about weight loss. It all depends on how much room ya have to lose. if you only have 15 lbs of body fat then your body isn t going to want to give it up too easy. If ya have 80 lbs of body fat then ya might be able to lose it easier with the increased activity and healthy eating. Definetly a good plan though. hope it works for ya.

Abs diet or Dukans diet? which one is better for healthier weight loss? -

I lost lot of kilos last year with this Dukans diet but gained everything again when i started eating normal - I found out this Abs diet wher you can add some carbs - like whole grain breads and rise - even strawberries and blueberries - which are forbitten in Pierre Dukan - also almonds and beans which are believed to be fattening are allowed too! Before starting another diet I would like to think twice cause i dont want to make another yo-yo - if you understand me :)

You need to permanently adjust you portion size and eliminate some fatty foods completely.If you can completely stop eating butter, mayo, desserts, and sugary drinks, then you will cut your calorie intake tremendously. Top that off by eating 3 regular portion meals (no double portions) and no snacks between meals. I guarantee you will lose weight and keep it off.

i know that if you want your abs to look good you have to eat 6 portions a day....that will make the billy fat go away.

I have been through it all and know what s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. The south beach diet is a good way to realign your eating habits...and it wouldn t be so popular if there weren t results. Worked for me.

Diets don t work people! Cut out the crap food, such as candy, fast food, sugar, etc. Every now and than is okay, but not constant; as long as 70 percent of the food you put in your body is healthy and nutritious, than you can get away with the other 30 percent. Also, cut down on your carbohydrates a lot, this helps to lose pure body fat. Good luck. But remember, if you cut out the foods you desire completely, you may relapse. I m not kidding, so remember, every now and than is fine.
