CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid)? -

A few years ago I bought a bottle of CLA (90 soft capsules), I m not sure why...probably because I read that it accelerates fat loss on the label...and still haven t used it. What I want to know is, is this supplement a men s only kinda thing, or is it okay for us girls to use it too?If you have used it and you are a female, what would you say it did for you? Did it work, or was it just a waste of money? How did you use it (how many did you take and how many times a day did you take it?) For how long did you take it?I d REALLY appreciate any kind of help because I m really hoping to lose weight, quickly if possible. I am also going to the gym =)

Various fatty acids can be taken to stimulate weight loss by improving fatty acid metabolism. GLA (gamma-linolenic acid from evening primrose or borage seed oils) EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid from fish oil) may also be helpful. Also helpful is the less expensive Omega-3 and Omega-6 found in cold-pressed flax seed oil. CLA benefits are related to reduced appetite levels. When taking additional fatty acids it is wise to supplement the many cofactors that help in fatty acid metabolism. These are: zinc, magnesium, beta-carotene, vitamins A, C, niacin, pyridoxine, biotin and vit. E aids in metabolism and prevents oxidation of the other oils. It is always important to take some type of multivitamin with weight loss or other programs as to not delpeat the body s natural stores of other nutrients needed to breakdown the single supplement that you may be taking. What should I look for in a CLA fat loss supplement? If you are looking for CLA for fat loss, you don t want the 1000 mg capsules, you need the only capsule designed to meet the specifications used in the clinical fat loss studies, Tonalin 1285 mg 80% CLA. really don t know much about this product, but just wanted to let you know not to use that bottle that you bought without checking the expiration date first. You might need to get a new bottle. Good luck with you weight loss

Never heard of it? However I take Evening Primrose Oil and that contains Gamma Linolenic Acid. I have been taking it for health issues for ten years but found that if I take this with a Vitamin Pill, it seems to have a better affect than if I just take it on it s own? Therefore I wonder if these essential oils, you need to be taking the complete range to have a beneficial affect, rather then just one on it s own, if that makes sense? Likewise we can get many via the food we eat, but I was told, people like me: my health problem, cannot easily digest or manufacture GLA. Anyway, I think I might need to change to Omega 3, but will see what my Physician says. My GLA, or Evening Primrose Oil is prescribed via my Physician, so is classed as a drug. As for burning fat? I entered that time of my life, as a female, where the fat left the butt and went on the belly. Likewise they thought I was going diabetic? The diabetes tests was normal, so they told me You have a slow metabolism , with Rheumatoid Arthritis, did they think I was the Bionic Woman? Anyway the health had a blip, I ended up at PT and they suggested I might like to try Pilate s, so I did. Due to the health it was one hour per week and I was exhausted afterwards, had to go to bed. Nine months later, well as a friend stated You have muscles like a man! . The belly fat has gone and seems I have good muscle tone? Therefore if I can do it, no reason why you cannot do it. What I liked about Pilate s, it suited my mobility problems, was a good laugh and enjoyable in a group session. I now do Pilate s at home, just to keep the muscle strength up. Good Luck

People on a weight loss program are advised not to have bananas. why? -

what all do u mean by sprouts?

Bananas are high in Potassium, a necessary nutrient to the heart. I wouldn t listen to fad dieters. They have a lot of sugar in them, maybe this is what they are talking about.

Bananas are loaded with sugar and you are not advised to eat alot of them and a small one at that. They are rich in potassium though, so one a couple of times a week probably would be alright. Spouts are in the veg section in the store, and they are used as additive to a sandwich or salad and other dishes. They are usually sold in a pkg or you can buy them fresh in some stores.

I think what they mean is that unlike some fruits and vegetables, they are very calorie dense and high in sugar, so eat them in moderation because they are very good for you, unlike the so-called diet foods the same people want you to buy, which are are highly processed and will only make you feel deprived. If it s a whole food, it s better for you than any processed food, particularly one who s label screams low-fat , or low-carb . Just be sensible and eat whole food, mostly plant foods, eat meat as a side dish (if you eat meat), and enjoy your food. You can eat ANYTHING you want and maintain a healthy weight, just as long as it s real food and you eat it in MODERATION.

many fruits contain essential vitamins and chemicals that aid the body.for example, bananas contain Potassium, which is a very good chemical for your body.so eating fruits like apples, bananas, and all those will help aid you in weight loss as well as keep your body healthy

Eat them anyways, they are a little high cal for a fruit and have a lot of sugar but they are good for you?

Has anyone tried the Figure 8 Weight Loss Program by Arbonne? -

If so, please give me any feedback you have.~did it help you? ~did you have any weird side-effects? ~how long did you use it/are you still doing it?~did you only use some of the products in the program (to save money or whatever reason) and did those products work at all? Thanks for taking the time to respond! Very much appreciated!

I have not done the entire Arbonne Weight Loss Program but I do use some of the products from the Figure 8 line. I use the Vanilla Protein Shake and the NRG GO3 Fizzing Tabs. When I was using the Shake, I was not following the rest of the plan. The shakes taste really good, although I used half 1% milk and half water. Since I wasn t following an diet plan along with it, I didn t lose any weight. But, I didn t gain any either. I m going to start using it again as soon as my order comes in and this time I m going to be watching what I eat.Next, the NRG Go Fizz tabs are awesome! I love this drink and it really does what it says it will. These tabs helped me lose 8 lbs in just a week and a half. If I was not taking these my cravings would have gotten the better of me and I would have not done as well.I add them to double the amount of water required because I think they taste better that way, the drink can be kind of sweet. Also, it does have caffeine in it (the same amount as a can of soda) so I have to drink them before 2pm otherwise I don t sleep as well. They do not give you any weird feeling or crazy energy rush when you take them. But I do feel like I have more energy and my cravings for food are greatly diminished. If you haven t seen it, there is a specific website just for the figure 8 products: www.gofigure8.com, you should check it out and they have message boards on there you might want to check out for more information.Good luck with your weight loss!

Erin,I m not sure about that one. I DID find a website that has some pretty good reviews on different weight loss programs. I got tired of looking all over the web for different reviews. Its nice, they have them all in one place. Oh yeah, and they also have some reviews on programs that help you build muscle, too.http://www.FatLossCritic.comHope that helps! Good luck!

What do you think is the most successful weight loss program out there? -

One that preaches watching the amount of food intake and regular exercise. These two practices in practice and tandem with each other will eventually lead to a successful weight loss for the average person.

Fresh fruit and whole gain breads will help you feel full longer. Forget the all carbs are bad idea, just lay off white bread/rolls, white rice and non-whole grain pasta. One thing that will help you lose weight is SNACKS! Yes, a piece of fruit or a (low sugar) yogurt or (low sugar) granola type bar mid morning and afternoon will help you not munch on chips and stuff. Don t skip breakfast.Increasing your water consumption would be good. Go for lean meats and remember that according to the dietitians a serving of meat is 4 ounces... about the side of a normal deck of playing cards. So watch your portions and fill up on fruits and vegetables.

Well to answer your question it would take ime but here is a workout or thing that might help :1)Stop eating and excercise intensely. (time consumed: about a week, maybe)2) Dehydrate yourself. Do not drink any water, and you can lose up to 10 pounds (time consumed: a day or two)3) Get lipo-suction (time consumed: idk, i guess a few hours)4) Cut off a limb. (time consumed: instantaneous)More infomation the link: --http://www.loseweighthappy.info/index.php?option=com_content task=view id=204 Itemid=62

How can I lose weight quickly? -

I cannot shift the weight I gained during my second pregnancy and it s driving me nuts!I got back to a UK size 8 by my first baby s birthday without even trying and I don t know why this time is different.I don t eat lots of sugary or fatty things and I don t drink lots of fizzy juice so I m stumped!Apart from surgery I don t care what I have to do and I really don t want to hear the lectures about my health etc, I just want a way to get my body back!I need to lose 3 stone, I have no idea what that is in pounds I m afraid but can anyone help?Has anyone lost a lot of weight in a short space of time?HELP!!! xxx

Like you I don t have time for exercises and I have small children. (twin boys and a daughter born a year and a half apart) After the boys were born I did the Atkins diet. No sugar, no carbs (breads, pastas) I did keep the caffeine in there though (mainly coffee) I lost about 40 lbs. After my daughter I couldn t seem to loose the weight so I decided to do the diet again and again I have lost 40 to 45 lbs. so far. I don t care what anyone thinks, it works and all this with no exercises plan. The great thing is you don t have to be hungry on this diet. I ate a lot of cheese, eggs and meat now I just maintain by not over indulging in the carbs. Hope this helps.

the short answer is that you need to exercise. if you already don t eat sugar and fats that s good because that is the main cause.evidently your metabolism has changed so what you did before will not work anymore. also the right combination of foods will cause calories to burn faster. this is why it is said to eat your servings of fruit and veggies.you are eating more calories than you are burning.watch out for bread, crackers, and other carb heavy items.find some kind of calorie burning activity that you like is the best way to get exercise.i lost weight by not eating sugar and bread most of the time, eating (or drinking) fruit, veggies, chicken, fish, beef sometimes, going for walks, doing floor exercises(leg lifts, sit ups etc.), and light weight lifting.

A proper balanced diet and excercise, Lose weight slowly. You could try Chinese tea which might help.

Pills will work but it hurts your body and You could try a good diet Like don t eat to much and drink lots of water.

3 stone is about 42 pounds, almost 20 kg.I would suggest you the following:Start a diet - any diet you find and like. I can suggest you Winter diet .Exercise - it can be just walk with your children (5 km per day at the beginning), run, dance, swimIf you would like to continue - change the diet after two weeks - start new one, continuing exercising. The secret is the body not to get used with the particular dietDo not give up if you do not lose weight as fast as you want. The body needs time to react.Other tips and working diets www best-fat-burn-strategies comYou can write me there as wellGood luck!

Yoga is one of very good exercise which not lose body weight but also help us to keep medically fit.

What weight loss program or diet has worked best for yall? -

I need ya;ll help.

Running. Walking. Don t eat to much. Stop drinking soda and drink more water. Determination pays off.

Weight Watchers is the program I have been most successful on, but I think it comes down to good self-esteem, dealing with stress in ways besides eating, consuming a good amount of protein, and whole grain carbs, not allowing yourself to get too hungry, and drinking plenty of water. Exercise is another important piece, always remember anything is better than nothing when it comes to exercise. Find something you like, and have fun! Not getting enough fluids can actually slow down your metabolism; so that drinking water or non-caloric beverage part is really important.Good Luck, it s hard, but can be done.

I have lost 14 pounds in the past 3 months by walking 4 miles per day (about 1 hour and 30 minutes) and by avoiding junk foods. No donuts, chips, cookies, etc, but I eat well every day. If I can do it, anyone can.

south beach was my favorite only cause i loved that kind of food... it really comes down to the exercise though.

I joined weight watchers in august and have since lost 33 pounds and 7 inches, and I am still losing. I tried everything before weight watchers. I did slim-fast was my second, however, I always felt like I was starving.

Is there a weight loss program that really works? -

I started the Atkins diet about 3yrs ago and lost quiet abit of weight but now I ve gain it back and can t seem to loose anything! Please HELP!

Everything works as long as you stick to it. Diets are just a temporary fix.... if you really want to keep the weight off you have to change the way you eat and exercise for good!!!! I heard Lindora has a really good food plan (never tried it myself)... and for exercise....Curves is a great gym, and its WOMEN ONLY!!! so it s alot more comfortable to go to (I m a member and I ve lost 15lbs).... or if you want to work out at home you can try Turbo Jam. I just started it last week and I feel great...its alot of fun! Well I hope I ve helped some.... good luck!

I m having trouble also. The G.I. diet is good. Seems to be a sensible way of eating. Good luck.

weight watchers is great! you learn how to control your portions and still enjoy the foods you like....

Weight Watchers is an excellent program. They have 2 different approaches now. The point based diet and the lower carb diet. Sounds like the points program would be more beneficial. You really learn portion control and make better choices. The principles you will learn here will stay with you forever and you are more likely to succeed long term. But there are some really good weight loss programs available, if you like the diet you will probably do well.Don t forget to add some physical activity. It works wonders. Just walking every day will rev up your metabolism and kick up your weight loss. This site has some good info

same here with the Adkins.. havent found anything yet...
