Weight loss help....? -

Alright, well. I HAVE to lose weight, very soon. I ve been struggling with it for my whole life, and I feel like everyone around me is giving up on me, and I ve done so many diets. So I m going to have to keep trying on my own. What can I do? Something I ll be able to do without pills, a weight loss program, nothing like that. Just simple. Thanks.

3 things and 3 things only. Nutrition, Weight Training and Cardio.Nutrition - 6 small meals a day. Nothing after 7pm. No junk or white breads. Green teaWeight Lifting - 1 1/2 hours a day, mon thru satCardio - 45 minutrs before breakfest or after workout or both

just watch what you put in your mouth, NEVER allow yourself- oh this ONE cookie won t hurt... NO junk, and eat nutritious... thats what the weight watchers people said at my moms meeting

Jenny, try small changes to your eating habits like wholewheat bread and pasta instead of white, brown rice instead of white and eating baked chicken/fish instead of fried. Make sure to include lots of vegetables with every meal. Drink water instead of soda/juice throughout the day so that your hydrated. Try and be active at least an hour a day even walking through the mall can burn calories and be beneficial to your health.Hope this helps!

well defin. you should use something aerobic(that speeds up your heartrate).. like the stairmaster, treadmill, elliptical ..now that being said i d personally recommend the elliptical since it works out more (ur arms, thigh, butt, lower back, and arms) for ur time.. not to mention since it does that it helps you burn more calories for your time working out...maybe work out about 2hrs a week however you want to do .. like two days one hour each.. or maybe 4 days 30min eachthen when you find that your starting to stay longer without getting so tired.. add a little more time .. also ... unlike common misconception you could work out with wieghts and not look all bulk u cant look very musclar only lean yourself and tighten (freeweights or machine) prob. since ur beginner i d say machine weights..so the machine. like these-http://athletic-scholarships.net/gym%202try do work with a weight lets say 5lbs in which u can do lets say 10 times (each time you do one lets it s called repetition-rep for short..so10 reps when you complete these reps thats called one set...then rest.. for about 10-15sec..then another 10 times.. (so ur starting on ur 2nd set.)etc.. for the first day and try to increase about 1 rep every time.. then when u about doubled the amount of reps.. increase the setsfor ex. after a while u will do1set of 202nd set of 20then u will add a third set.. and lets say increase it to 5 more reps.. then increase this one till it gets to 20 then and then once u have 3 sets of 20 reps.. or 4 u add more weight.. to lets say to 10lbs..and so onthe key is to keep increasing when ur body adapts.. like in time when it comes to aerobic, and increase reps and weights and sets..BUT AT YOUR OWN PACE.. THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE..

Has anyone been successful with the slim in 6 weight loss program? -

No but try Hip Hop Abs. Works great.I lost 25lbs in 3 weeks but stopped when I found out I was pregnant again. Due in 2 months. I did the work out 5 days a week. I think as long as you stick to it you will do great. With this program though you lose weight all over so dont expect to see just change in one certain area.Youll be sore after the first few days but as long as you push yourself and get through it, its worth it.Good Luck!

I have been trying to lose weight for years. Last year I finally decided that it was time for me to lose the weight that has plagued me for years. I won t lie, it took some work but I managed to lose over 40 lbs. One supplement I used that really helped me is the Acai Berry. Hopefully, this gives you some motivation.

Haven t heard of anyone having success on it. Try this: Make a lifestyle change. Eat less, move more. Eat four to six meals a day with breakfast being the largest and dinner the smallest. Eat the majority of your calories earlier in the day. Avoid sodas and junk foods.

tried it, doesn t work

Alli weight loss program...? -

does it really work as advertised?i m desperate!weight 250lbs which is obese and starting to effect my over all health and i just became a mommy! i want to be an active healthy mommy not one of those fat ones you see yelling at there kids.please did it or any other weight loss program help you lose weight?and no i can t aford anything too expensive..thanks!!!!

You shouldn t trust any programs. You can lose about 1-3lbs a week with these 10 steps.1. Cut out all junk foods and fatty foods. 2. Drink about 10 cups of water a day.3. Eat lots of vegetables and have fruits in moderation. (not too many because of their sugar content)4. Try to exercise at least 30 minutes 5 days a week.5. Don t skip meals and enjoy your foods in smaller portions.6. It depends on how old you are, but try to eat about 1500 calories a day. (more or less, depending on how old you are)7. Eat leaner foods, but never have them fried.8. Also, try lots of whole grain foods. (not too much though!)9. Also, drink at least 1 cup of skim milk/ fat- free milk/ 2% milk a day to increase muscle.10. You can enjoy sweets (like chocolate, candy, brownies, etc) in moderation, but never go all out. xD Try the small, but simple 100 calorie snacks.

I was 250lbs. I lost 80lbs about 3-4 years ago and have kept it off.My weight loss program? Hard cardio 6x a week, hard lifting 6x a week, no processed food, no processed sugars, and yoga 2-4x a week. Sounds like a lot, but the goal was high intensity training, so you do it for less time. I spent less time in the gym the whole week than most people spend at the gym in two (or even one) days. You just have to actually do it. Alli works by not allowing you to absorb all the fat you eat, which means that you MUST change your diet if you don t want to lose control of your bowels. But if you MUST change your diet for Alli to work...uh...why not just save the money and just change your diet? lolShoot me an email if you have more questions.

My friend took Alli and she said that she was on the toilet alot. Sounds more like a laxative than anything.

You can try some tips that I got from browsed a blog like below http://the-summer-weight-loss.blogspot.comHope can help you or any members that intend to loose their weight.

Which is healthier and cheaper, Jenny Craig or Nutri-Systems weight loss programs? -

I have been through it all and know what s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes. Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight. First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising...This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it s good for the heart. However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It s so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I ve found a great addition to help any one out, it s a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don t get all crazy on me and say diet pills don t work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn t meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It s an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace .com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it s the best pill I ve tried and I ve tried cupboards full. Now this doesn t mean you have to follow my foot steps but I ve successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day. Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.

I m on Jenny Craig and it s not necessarily cheap you have to pay a membership fee which is around $300 and then you renew every year for only $37 but they always have special offers like 20 pounds for $20. You also have to pay for your food but I figured a way to save money buy just eating special K for breakfast instead of their breakfast and I buy the 100 cal snacks instead of theirs so i only buy Jenny s lunch dinners. I joined a year ago and have lost 40 pounds weight that I gained from when I was pregnant.I would never have lost the weight with out Jenny I ve been able to maintain it on my own its very healthy and would recommended it to anyone. The food is actually very good a whole lot better than nutra-system I heard their stuff is extremely gross. You should definitely give it a try you wont be disappointed. I m not it s been a year and I m still loosing.

Acia berry is not bad but, I have found a better solution called isagenix! It makes me feel better and has improved my health, you cleanse every 2 weeks, then back on your regular daily Ionix, shake, (mens or womens) mulit-vitamins, and anti-oxidiants. It can really change your life and make you a healthier!!! If your interested in knowing more, go to www.dougchambers.Isagenix.com

And for strength training lift low reps (6-8) heavy weights. I cant give you much more info since your question doesnt state what SPECIFIC equipment you have...

Any recomendations on a weight loss program? Im 50yrs. old 59quot; 295lbs. need to lose weight fast and for long? -

term. Anyone have any good ideas on the right way to go?

Forget about quick weight loss. Slow and steady wins the race. You should register on livestrong.com under the daily plate and start counting your calories. (Or if you have an iphone, I would recommend LoseIt . This program will make it easier for you to start tracking how much you eat, and how much you should be eating according to your target weight/height/gender, etc. Start educating yourself on what foods are healthy and what foods you should avoid, although most of this information should be intuitive. Surgery is not the answer. If you don t know how to KEEP the weight off, you ll gain it back. Lastly, exercise will not negate poor eating habits. Weight loss is 90% diet and 10% exercise. Make healthy food choices and you will see the weight come off. You can lose up to two pounds per week this way

HiI found a program that worked really well for me and my wife. It uses really effective techniques that you don t hear talked about in traditional dieting.Highly recommend it if you need to burn alot of fat for a couple of months.

www.caloriecount.about.com. Its free sign up, i absolutely love it! And its not a diet its a lifestyle. :)

Does any one knows about Herbal Life weight loss program?? Is it harmful to body?? -

I have been receiving a lot of e-mail lately about diet. In the past, I was never concerned about what I ate. I just went to the gym, trained hard, and that was the extent of my routine. Not until recently did I realize the power diet has over the way your body looks and performs. I believe that diet is at least 75% of the fitness equation. In this article, I m going to describe in detail what I have learned about diet during my 12-week transition period. When to Eat and How Often This might sound strange, but you have to eat more often to lose fat and gain muscle. During my transition period, I never ate less than 6 meals a day. ?Try to eat every 2 to 3 hours. ?Do not eat complex carbohydrates after 6:00 p.m. or four to five hours before going to bed. ?Try to eat one gram of protein per pound of lean body mass on lifting days and .8 grams of protein per pound of lean body mass on non-lifting days. ?Never eat more than 70 grams of protein in one meal.Carbohydrates When I think of carbohydrates, I think of energy. Carbohydrates supply our bodies with the energy it needs to make it through a workout. Without an adequate supply of carbohydrates, the body goes into carbohydrate deprivation. This is called a state of ketosis (meaning our body is using protein as energy). This is not a good state to be in for long because it will rob the body of muscle tissue in an effort to create energy. On the other hand, if too many carbohydrates are consumed, they convert into stored fat. The idea is to consume just enough carbohydrates to make it through our workouts with sufficient energy. I have broken down carbohydrates into these three categories: ?Simple carbs: These are sugars, or quick energy. They are absorbed very quickly into the body. Ex. Anything with sugar, also fruit ?Complex carbs: This is where you get long-term energy for the day. These are long chained carbohydrates that brake down slower, giving us energy over a prolonged period of time. Ex. Oatmeal, potatoes, pasta, rice, breads ?Fibrous carbs: These are things like vegetables. I think of them as roughage in order to stay regular. Make sure you include them in you later meals when you can t eat complex carbs. They are also a good source of vitamins. Ex. Leafy vegetables like lettuce.Protein Proteins are the building blocks of our muscles. Without a sufficient amount of protein in our diet, our muscles will not have the raw materials that they need to build up, or even hang on to what is already there. Net protein utilization: Not all protein is created equal. Different foods are absorbed more than others. For example, egg white protein is absorbed at 88%. That means we get about 9 eggs to our muscles. On the other hand, chicken breast are absorbed at 68%, meaning we get about 7 breasts to our muscles. It is imported to eat a wide verity of protein foods though; no one protein source has all the amino acids we need. ?Whey protein (100%): the best source of whey protein is from protein supplements. It is also absorbed very fast by the body, so it is best to take this when your body needs amino acids quickly: like right after a workout or when you first get up in the morning. ?Egg whites (88%) ?Fish (78%) ?Chicken breast (78%) ?Soy protein: My one bit of advice would be to try and stay away from soy protein. It is not absorbed very well by the body. Fats We normally think of fats as being bad. The fact is certain fats are essential to building muscle and carrying out various functions of the body. There are 2 fat types we need to be concerned about: ?Saturated fats: these are the bad fats. Avoid these fats as much as possible. You will find these types of fats mostly in meats ?Unsaturated fats: these are the good fats. They are a good energy source and help us build muscle. You can find from plant oils. Peanuts are also a good source. Water Do not under estimate the importance of water! If you are looking to get lean, water will be your best friend. Drink as much as you can and as often as you can. Also, it is very important to drink lots of water when you re eating large amounts of protein to clean urea from the system. Vitamins minerals As resistance training athletes, we have a greater need for vitamins minerals. When we workout and bring blood to our muscles it is important that our blood is full of those essential vitamins minerals if we want to grow. Supplements Supplements are just that, meaning they are used to supplement your diet, not replace it. Don t ever think of it that way. Hierarchy of supplements:I developed this hierarchy of supplements based on what I thought were the most important and also by price. ?1. Proper diet: Without proper diet you are just wasting money on supplements. Start here! Do not think that supplements are going to do it for you alone. ?2. Multi-vitamin mineral: It is very important to have all your vitamins minerals when resistance training. Most of us are lacking in some areas, make it a priority to make this your first supplement. ?3. Protein powder: It is usually very hard to get all the protein you need from real foods. Powders make it much easier. Also, these powders are absorbed fast by the body making them ideal after workouts or before and after sleep. ?4. Creatine: This is great for harder workouts. It also makes you muscles hang on to water, giving them a better environment to grow. ?5. L-glutamine: This is an important amino acid in muscle recovery ?6. Branch chained amino acid: These are great before and after workouts along with L-glutamine because it gives your muscles all the amino acids it needs to repair and grow. ?7. ZMA: This helps you release more growth hormone while you sleep, increasing your size and strength. ?8. Thermogenic: These really help in the fat loss process. They also help you hang on to more muscle while dieting due to the fact you can eat more. ?9. Meal replacement: Although very expensive, meal replacements make it much more convenient to get some of your meals in. Also, you can get in more meals than if you were to eat only real foods. The golden hour Remember The golden hour because it will make things so much easier for you. The golden hour is a window of opportunity we have to get everything we have depleted in our body back in a short amount of time. Think of your muscles as a gas tank: When you workout, you use gas for energy or in this case glucose. After a workout, our muscles are in a unique state. They are able to fill back up very quickly leaving you full for the next workout. If you wait to long, your muscles don t fill back up as easily and the carbs you eat are more likely to be stored as fat. Doing this will also let you take advantage of insulin s muscle building effects from the simple carbs you have ingested. You want to ingest 50-75 grams of simple carbs right after a workout. Also, this is when you want to take your protein shake because it will absorb quickly and supply your muscles with the amino acids that they need. Insulin This is a very complicated subject, but all we need to know is that insulin can help us build muscle or can make us fat depending on the timing. Insulin is released by the pancreas in response to elevated blood sugar levels. We can achieve a high blood sugar level by ingesting simple carbs. Like the golden hour we have a window of opportunity to take advantage of the muscle building effects of the insulin without getting fat. We have about 4 or 5 hours after we workout to take advantage of insulin. If we take in too many simple carbs out of this window, we are very likely to store fat. Cheat day The theory behind the cheat days is you take one day every 2 weeks to eat anything you want and actually get leaner. It might sound crazy, but it worked for me. When you eat low carbs for a time for body begins to think it is not getting all the food it needs (because your not storing any fat) and begins to slow down your metabolism. When you bombard your body with food on that one day, it tricks your body into thinking it has all it needs and speeds your metabolism back up. I can tell you from experience, every day after a cheat day I felt leaner and looked better. Ketosis This is when your body uses protein for energy. This happens when we have too few carbs in the body or when we over train. I went into the state of ketosis for only the last week of my 12-week transition for a couple of reasons: (1) I wanted all of my muscles to shrink down so when I carbed back up, my skin would be tighter. (2) When you go into ketosis it seems to bring the water out from under the skin. Don t go into this state to loose fat. Without carbs your body can not burn fat effectively. You will loose weight rather quickly, but only because you don t have as much glycogen in the muscle. Also, you are simply loosing water. Remember that proteins are the building blocks for muscle and that means they are fair game for energy when in the state of ketosis. I would not recommend going into this state unless you are trying to get into a super ripped state for a short amount of time, like for a bodybuilding contest.

I have a few friends that used HL and didn t have the results that they wanted. It has been around for awhile and many people have a supply stored in their house. There are new and improved systems since then. Nutrtional cleansing with Isagenix has worked for me. I am 55 and have lost over 40 pounds and have gone from a size 14 to a size 8. I am 55 and feel 40 again! Check out your options and make an informed decision. God bless.
