How to lose 40 lbs in 1 week? Which weight loss program works? -

im 160 lbs, i wanna weigh about 120. what should i do. i want to lose it by nov 10th. does any weight loss programs really work if so which ones. I tried the quick trim stuff it didnt work. Any suggestions?

there is no way, you will die.

The cheapest thing is exercise and eat healthy. Eat 1200-1500 cals a day and DONT GO over ( I used to do that and then wonder at the end of the week why I wasnt losing lol ) ,make sure you write everything you eat down on a piece of paper and how many calories are in it, lots of water and 4-5 fruits and veggies a day, look up some healthy foods and meals and go shopping! Exercise 4-5 days a week for as long as you can doing some cardio ( walking, jogging, biking ).It may take a while to see the changes you are looking for but always remember you can do it and dont give it! Best of luckP.S. if the people on the biggest loser can lose 15 pounds in one week you can to. You may not hit 40 but you can come close if you are truely serious about losing weight.

There are several types of fasts that can be beneficial for weight loss. 1. The complete water fast: This, admittedly, should be conducted with extreme caution or in a specialized sanitarium if undertaken more than 3 days. 2. The Juice Fast: This is much easier for the general populace and can be undergone as long as you feel like it. 3. The Fruit Fast: This, well, is really not a fast per sebut when one lives exclusively on SEASONAL ORGANIC fruits for days on endmeaning mono meals (2 at the most ) of only one kind of fruit say Apples in Fall, Melons in summer for a week plus, you will be bound to see the benefits. 4. The Dry Fast: This is another camouflaged fast where one consumes ONLY dry fruits such as dates; figs etc for 3 days or thereabout and then breaks the fast with a laxative. Though highly praised in some quarters, its not so common. The second and third choices are by far my personal recommendations for those seeking to lose weight. A friend of mine tried the second choice after months of badgering and was able to eventually see the awesome cuts in his abdominal cavities. You should have heard him exclaim on the phone to me: ForasI got a six-pack manand I didnt even do no sit-ups! Moreover, his supposed hereditary red-eyes cleared up after several eye-doctors had told him it was just a genetic traityeah, right! more..The fastest way to quick lose weight!http://www.tipsinlife.com/weight-loss-quick-fastest.htm

Start immediately to drink at least a gallon of pure water each day. Make the water as cold as you can stand it. The colder it is, the more calories your body will burn just warming it up. Add lemon or lime juice for better taste but don t add any sugar or artificial sweeteners.

I don t think it s possible for people to lose 40 lbs in 1 week naturally... If it were possible, i think lots of people would try it =p

That is impossible. I wish it were, though. However, you might be able to gain 40 pounds in that time frame...

What is the relative importance of exercise in a weight loss program? -

As compared to a change to a healthy diet, what is the relative importance.

Weight gain and loss is determined, at the most basic, by calories in versus calories out. Exercise, by increasing calories out, is equally important to weight loss as diet change, which decreases calories in. The real answer depends on the starting point. For someone who has a horrendous diet and moderate exercise habits, the dietary change may be more important. For someone with a reasonable diet, but very poor exercise habits, the exercise will play a greater role. The efficient thing to do is to establish a balance utilizing both factors, really.

the importance of exercise in a weight loss program would have to be this simple fact you arent buring any calories by doing nothing. true for the first few weeks if you change your diet to a more nutritional and healthy diet yes you will lose weight but the thing is once your body is adjusted to the change then you will not continue to lose weight until you start exercising to lose more weight. exercising (even though to some is not much fun) is important to a weight loss diet and for a persons physical and emotional and mental health

it s extremely important...........even if ur not tryin to lose weight, everyone should exercise at least 20 minutes a day or 3-4times a week for 40 minutes.........cardio exercise, not a casual stroll down the street

It helps to raise the metabolism rate, which burns fat more quickly and helps you lose weight faster. It also tones up your body as you diet, so you don t get saggy skin.

To lose weight, you have to reduce your calories. If you are reducing enough calories to lose weight, then you won t have to exercise to lose. But if you can t or don t want to reduce the number of calories necessary, you will need to exercise to dispose of the excess.

probably around 30 - 60 %

Exercise 3--45 mins a day 6 days a week. Why-- it improves circulation, muscle tone, and metabolism.

Burning calories. Calorie, in actuality, is a measurement of heat. In that regard, exercising measures how much heat it takes to burn fat. Burning fat is the prime directive, Number One.......MAKE IT SO!

If you are planning on dropping a good deal of weight exercise will not only speed up the process but help prevent the loose skin that you WILL get. If you exercise you will not only lose weight but tone at the same time and might prevent the future need for excess skin removal and a tummy tuck.

Relative to diet? Well it s second to diet. Don t pour sugar in the gas tank, so to speak. If you eat horribly you might:eat too many calorieseat too few calorieseat too much fateat too little protieneat too much sugar or starchIf you put the right fuel and building blocks in to your body, you will have a better time performing normal or athletic movements.

Help- high cholesterol and dont understand why!? -

My level is 8.3 (HDL only 2). I don t smoke, drink any alcohol, am vegetarian, don t eat high fat foods (except twice when I had anorexia and I was on a hospital weight gain diet), do stupid amounts of exercise. My dad has it. Is it purely genetic or anything to do with my history of eating disorders and gaining and losing weight quickly? The doctor says I am too young to go on medication (I am 28) an dI have to change my diet. I think he must think I am lying about my diet, but I honestly don t know what I can do!! Any ideas?

The answer is if an appropriate diet makes no difference then it has to be genetic. It really is that simple. Health food shops sell various things which allegedly reduce it.

Classic - Don t eat meat so you think you are safe from cholesterol!!!!!There are a number of fruits and particularly nuts that have it. Also all dairy foods if you include any of them in your diet. The problem with all one sided diets is that humans evolved to eat a varied diet and it is the mix of what you eat that helps your body to work efficiently. The obvious and first thing that comes to mind when cholesterol is mentioned is that eating oily fish, eggs and other foods high in omega 3 helps a lot. particularly the fish. Indeed - the lack of such food in the diet could be the very reason for it!

The anti cholesterol paradigm is FALSEsee my articles ANTHONY COLPODR. UFFE RAVNSKOV

It is likely 98% genetic. You might want to increase your olive oil intake, and if you can, start eating meat. Eating meat/cholesterol has almsot no impact on raising cholesterol. People on low-carb diets tend to decrease their cholesterol levels. Also drink one galss of red wine per day.

Avacados walnuts and almonds can help raise your HDL. I think that flax seed does too. I eat alot of beans and legumes and only whole grains. I have trouble bring my HDL up too. I had hypercholersterolemia, and though I do take a medication, I have mostly controled this with diet. ( i did at one time take 3, but am down to one) I am not a vegitarianBest wishes

I believe that drinking coffee and tea to excess can raise your level

There is a product I tried that helped me it is a vitamin supplement called Cholesterol Regulation Complex. My Cholesterol went from 252 to 201 and my triglycerides went from 289 to 98 I don t believe in prescription medication so that is why I tried this. These are the issues it can help you with High Cholesterol/triglyceride levels: cardio concerns: obesity; physical inactivity:and those with high dietary fat intake diabetic concerns. Give it a try and let me know how you made out.

Try eating grapefruit on a morning and porridge its really good for lowering the levelNot in the same bowl !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any realistic weight loss program will incorporate some kind of excercise. Take a good look at the Biggest Loser program.

Its called WORK!! get off your sorry butt and get a labor intensive job. Stop watching tv, take bike ride instead, do pushups instead of stuffin chips in your mouth and lastly stop smoking the weed it makes you hungry which makes you fat same goes for beer. So the best program is to stop being lazy and stop eating like a cow.

All good weight loss programs should recognize the importance of exercise. This is the program I follow; and am having excellent results from eating according to the program and exercising 6 days per week.http://www.drfuhrman.comhttp://fatfreevegan.com/etl.shtml

How to lose weight quickly? -

I need to lose about 30ls in about 45 days anyone have any help?

Just read this one todayhttp://njgazette.com/31yo-reveals-her-seNot sure how old you are or if it will help but figured cant hurt.

The most important component is exercise. Make yourself do several aerobic exercises each day increasing the amount each week (or however long you feel you need) and distant exercise (running jogging) is good too. Then just remember to include healthy foods (lean meats, fruits, veggies) and reduce the amount of carbs (bread, cereal, pasta, sugar) you take in. All this should result in a large amount of weight loss as long as you keep strict to it.

oh that s not that hard to lose weight but it all depends on how motivated you arecut the juice and sodaworkout for an hour arounddo not eat after 7have 6 SMALL meals a dayeat healthydrink alot of water like everymeal when you wake up when you go to bed or just when you want a drinkdid i was eat healthy?well here are your tools so go use themgood luck

Drink only water and lots of it. Every time you eat, eat only half of what you usually do and eat slow it will make you feel full alot faster. Whatever you do dont starve yourself it will slow your metabolism down and thats what burns fat, and of course jog or do some kind of exercise.

get into a training program

work out late then just go straight to bed, no food afterwards...

run and drink lots of water
