I need healthy weight loss tips? -

Hey there, so I m a 137 pounds right now, I want to be around 100, I am a very small petite girl right now,b ut I do have a stomach, and big thighs. :/ So I m going to lose weight ot get more healthy and lose weight. so does anybody have any tips? I know that I should start eating 5-6 small meals a day and exercising daily. I eat pretty healthy when I do eat, but I also eat when I m not hungry, I need some tips, any tips would be great! thanks. For losing this weight thealthy.

I have lost 18 pounds simply by only eating when I am hungry, eating foods that I don t necessarily LOVE , but still like (so I won t be tempted to over eat) and also eating ridiculously slowly, taking tiny bites, and savoring it in my mouth. By doing all this, I become satisfied with less than 1/2 of the amount of food I used to eat. I am sleeping better, and while the first week was HARD, now it is so easy.GOOD LUCK

thank you so much and I wish you more succes than me!!!!!!you go girl!!! Report Abuse

ok.. so you are trying too lose 37 pounds??So try cardio, healthy eating (no grease), Jog/walk/run every morning (thats what i do), try not to eat fast foodHope i helped

How many pounds is healthy to lose? -

I know that the healthy weight loss amount for one week is 1 - 2 lbs. If you go from barely exercising and not eating well, to changing your eating and exercise habits, itsn t it true that in the beginning you usually drop more than that in a week for the first 2 or 3 weeks because your body is used to a higher caloric intake?

as many as you think you are over by. Your body is used to the calorie intake so if you deprive your body from this energy i doubt you will be able to train or work out as you want. You should try talking to a dietitian to start on a steady metabolism diet, after that stay on the gym and stay on the goods (food).

Don t listen to advice about acai....If your diet is really bad you want to generally phase things out or you won t stick to the diet. Try to eat natural foods, meaning could you find them in nature? Lots of veggies, lean protein, and some fruit. Exercise is different by individual don t jump in too hard or you ll get injured because your body isn t used to start slowly and build up.

If you are very serious about losing weight you should have this program. It worked for me and it is the only weight loss program that lost me 10 pounds in 2 weeks. It works very well and using correct info will lose your weight fast . You can find more info from http://bit.ly/iebvd

yeah for like the first two weeks, and if you are overweight you could probably lose 5lbs in the first weeks easily, however if your just trying to shift that last 10 -20lbs then you wont lose more than 3 lbs the first 2 weeks

1-2 pounds a week

Weight Training? -

I am happy that i have lost 14lbs in two weeks and now want to start the weight training part of my weight loss program. I have a marcy mwm 900 home gym and was wondering if anyone knew of a good beginners work out? Is it better to do more reps of a lower weight or less reps of a higher weight? Is there any particular order in which to work the body?

Obviously there are many different ways to go about starting a weight training program. You will get many different opinions too. A lot of what is stated in the sugestions that you have already heard are correct. The main thing that you will want to make sure of is that it is enjoyable to you. Of course it is a lot of work but a good weight training program can be very satisfying. Especially when you are able to maintain your weight loss. Choosing a weight training program really comes down to what you want to accomplish and what you can stick to. One reference that I often direct people to is EXRX.net. It is a great website with a wealth of reliable information that is contributed by certified trainers and nutritionists. Best of all it is a free resource. Definitely check it out. Here is a link to the begginers page: http://exrx.net/Beginning.htmlPS.Be careful with those crash diets.

Start out doing all body parts at lower weight and higher reps(call it phase 1) 3 times a week. Once you ve done that for a few weeks, you can split your workouts into upper and lower body, 2x a week each (phase 2). Then once you have done that for a while, you can break it down further like this:Monday - Chest and TricepsTuesday - Quads and AbsWednesday - offThursday - Shoulders, Back and BicepsFriday - Hamstrings and CalvesSaturday - OffSunday - OffThis way you never workout more than 2 days in a row and give your body time to rest. All the while you can move towards a higher weight/lower reps workout. Also, make sure you change your workout structure every 4 weeks or so to keep your body guessing.

Less reps of a higher weight builds muscle mass and strength quicker, while lower weights and more reps tones your muscles. Many people tend to disagree on how one should split the workout, but you really should try to do exercises that work out more than one muscle, like a chest-press or a row. I d also suggest that you switch off between the more and less reps every other time you work out.

The order doesn t matter. You will lose weight much better by diet than by exercise. More weight and fewer repetitions is better for building muscle. For losing weight, many, many repetitions at low weight might burn a lot more calories.I ve seen people sit on the couch and lift little weights. That s not weight lifting. No pain, no gain.About one person in ten gets almost no benefit from exercise. It s genetic and you can t change your ancestors.

First Let me just say that is seriously amazing that you lost 14 pounds in two weeks. Secondly don t do more reps with light weight always go for the heavier and less reps. Obviously within reason but basically if you can do more than ten its too light. People are going to tell you alot of BS about using light weights, well it doesn t work.

What are some easy weight loss tips? -

like is drinking water 1 of them? I don t know but i would be happy if you can share some of your easy changes and tips that helped you loss weight :)

Drinking water helps, it helps you feel full and i always have a water bottle around, so instead of snacking when im not even hungry, i ll drink my water.if you don t like water that much, buy some crystal light(or other things like those) there like 5 calories and taste like juice.also, if you like walking, or biking, or running, start doing those. You don t have to start a whole regime, but jut doing minimum 20 minutes, a few times a week can help.also, snaking on fruits and yogurt, instead of candy and ice cream, will definitely help.If you don t like veggies or fruit, just start out by eating a little, and you ll eventually start craving em :)

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together. If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, whichwill lead to increase of weight, or muscle growunderneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet withoutexercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. Fordiet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no foodafter 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending onyour initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. Ifyou don t eat wheat then you don t eat all those sticky, fatty goeycakes, you don t eat junk food, and you don t eat biscuits. But yourdiet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have tocalculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising, start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is themost efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight alot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack, disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to targetyour problem areas for men and women. It s not necessarily to become abodybuilder or even join a gym - a couple of dumbbells will help youto target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).

You need to find a form of exercise that you really enjoy. Work out at home while your watching TV. Or do online workouts, you can go to www.aerobicsavenue.com they have a good variety of classes you can try, like aerobics, yoga, dance etc

What are some good tips for summer weight loss? -

I m hoping to lose weight for next summer, and I m looking for some good weight loss tips.

After reading a lot of weight loss tips, Ive caught myself saying Im not going to be able to do that! Im sure that we all have. A good summer weight loss tip is going to have to be something that youd actually do, obviously. Keeping that mind, I hope that youll find the following weight loss tips helpful to you. Over the years they have helped me maintain my current weight, and theyve also helped me lose weight as well. These are some of the easiest and most effective weight loss tips Ive found. At first, when I started trying to lose weight, I went along with the traditional attitude that eating snacks in-between meals was counter-productive to an effective weight loss program. I cut out snacks from my diet altogether as a result of that belief. I found that the problem was that by the time I sat down to start eating my meal, I was so hungry that I couldn t control my portion sizes efficiently.I found that I can keep my blood sugar at a decent level (and keep my appetite satisfied too) by eating more healthy and sensible snacks in between smaller meals. In fact, over the more recent years, research has shown that you can keep your bodys metabolic rate productive and steady by eating smaller meals spaced out throughout the day rather than the traditional 3 square meals ideology. You can mix your carbs and proteins when selecting your snacks. Low-fat cheese on some wheat crackers and some grapes would be a great example of a healthy snack.Portion control can be better managed, and if not, it will become a large stumbling block. You can purchase smaller, single serving foods, and use plastic bags to enforce portion sizes. You can always use regular sized foods, but use small plastic bags to separate out smaller portions in case buying single-sized foods turns out to be too much of a strain on your budget. Thats a great weight loss tip, since sometimes eating straight from the original packaging will cause you to eat more than you should. The calories in the food will count just as much, even if the food is advertised as either low-fat or reduced in fat. Be sure to double-check your serving size by reading the foods nutrition label. After measuring out the appropriate serving sizes, you can then store them in your plastic bags.Another one of the greatest weight loss tips is ice water! Place a small bottle of water in your freezer. This is a great idea to keep your water cold, and most weight loss programs recommend drinking water anyway. After some time, the water will form a small block of ice inside the bottle as it begins to freeze. That small block of ice will continue to keep the surrounding water very cold as it melts.Sometimes its boring to just drink plain water. Just for the sake of variety, you can keep low-calorie flavored waters in the refrigerator as well. Request an ice water with extra lemon slices in it when youre dining out. Then, just add some artificial sweeteners and youve made diet lemonade to enjoy! Most of the time, the regular versions of foods that youre used to taste a lot better than their reduced fat and low-fat equivalents. However dont be discouraged, and continue to try the low-fat and non-fat alternatives of your favorite foods. You might be surprised to find a low-fat version of your favorite food, and theres a chance that youll like it more than the original. You also might want to consider that there could be some places in your home that you associate with eating. You might stop and look for a snack while lingering around the kitchen C instead, leave the kitchen after eating. You might be tempted into eating a dessert if you sit longer at the dinner table after youve finished your meal. Instead, as soon as youre finished eating, try getting up and going for a walk. Youll enjoy the extra exercise, plus it will help get your mind off of eating, food, and snacks. You might need to change where you do things to stay away from these problem areas if you have a hard time fighting the temptation of food. You can help yourself lose weight by breaking the habit of using food as a comfort and as a stress-reliever. You could listen to music, read a book, go for a walk or jog, or just do some exercise. The point is that each different activity you select can be a viable alternative to eating when you need to relieve stress.Schedules can become hectic and full very fast. Squeezing weight loss programs in your already busy life can be a very difficult task. Sometimes it can be hard to find the time in one place, but its recommended to try and get at least 30 minutes of good physical activity each day. You can try to break your 30 minute block of time into smaller 10 or 15 minute blocks. Youll be able to get some much needed exercise by spreading the smaller blocks of time throughout your evening and day.Exercise is cumulative, and keep in mind too that getting more and more physical activity can help you burn off calories

Has anyone heard of REMovyl? -

i read something in cosmo about it, and the article said that the chick lost 37 pounds in 20 days.! i know that isnt a healthy weight loss. but im not one to stick to long term things. Does anyone know if it actually works like they say, and if you have to follow a strict diet/exercise plan to make it work?let me know! thanks:)

Never heard of it. If you want to lose weight and lose it fast, I suggest you use proactol. My mom and aunt swear on it. A week after they started using it, we all noticed their weight loss. If your interested and want more information, below is a helpful site.

CRYING RIGHT NOW! .... (Please answer)? -

As you read by the title I am crying. I am crying because no matter what I do I know I will never have a healthy body. As some of you already know I have been exercising for almost 3 months and haven t gotten anywhere! I am so ashamed of myself!! I am only 12 years old, 4ft 10 and I weigh 60kg (132 pounds). I even have to go on the Tony Ferguson Weight loss program now because my weight is going SO out of control. As I sit here crying typing this question all I can think about is how Fat I am and how I m going to turn out like my mum.My mum has rewened her body by drinking, no exercise, over-eating, smoking and drugs. She doesnt even have a neck anymore and I am afraid of turning out like her. She says I wont because I will never do any of those things but I know with my luck I will still turn out like her.I am SO scared! I feel so rotten and I really need your help. If you have any questions feel free to ask and I will answer them.

I think your mum will affect you! Whoa, tell her not to smoke and that, actually, as a girl in a city with fat girls around, I think you should do a lot of exercise when you re free, as long as you don t pass out. Don t eat in the next hour or so. Drink water if you can t stand it. Be sure to add no seasonings to food, and if that is not tasty, give it olive oil. Drink Diet coke. Eat no sugar. Exercise?! Better do it in fresh-air parks. Jumping ropes will increase your height and make your heart healthier. And make sure you take in no second-hand smoke!

Sweetie, you are 12 years old. Why are you so distressed about this? For your own sake, I would STRONGLY recommend NOT dieting. You will do more damage to your body than you realize and will almost ensure that you have metabolism problems and weight problems as you get older. What you can do is stop drinking soda/pop, stop eating sweets and other sugar based things, and above all else, do NOT eat fast food, and exercise 3-4 times a week. Try eating smaller portions more time per day instead of large meals, and drink lots of water even if you don t like the taste or water. When you start doing healthy things like that your body WILL change! The hardest part is resisting the bad eating habits and unhealthy food choices of the past.

i went through the same thing a few years ago. trust me yoou can lose the weight. i dont know what youve tried already. maybe yore under eating. that would cause your metabolism to slow down. eat when youre hungry. just dont allow yourself any sweets or fried food. and eat smaller portions. as far as exersize, just go for a fast walk for at least 20 minutes a day. if oyu stick to those few things for 3 months i know youll lose the weight. just be patient. it won happen over night. good luck

hello dear.my goodness, at 12 years old - none of this should be concerning you.i m 30 - and i ll tell you a little something.most people look nothing LIKE they did at 12, by the time they finished high school. in fact, the majority of people who were heavier, got their growth spurt in high school and ended up just fine.it s not difficult to deal with your weight, but you need to understand that there is no quick fix solution. you ve only been at it three months and this is NOT a long time, when talking weight loss.join a sports team, get stuck into lean meat, fruits and veg. avoid fats and sugar (ie any take away, lollies, sugary drinks, fruit juices etc) and drink loads of water.the very worst thing to do is sit there and cry about it.i ve been in your position before. i was very lean, but went through a difficult time and doubled my weight (50kgs to 100kgs in ONE year). that sucked.one day, i d had enough. i decided that day to change the way i ate and overhaul my life. it really was as simple as that. i wouldn t call it a diet as that implies that i only did it for a week. today - five years later, i still eat the same way as i decided that day. no binging or chocolate or cordial. just eating good, healthy food.i found that changing the way i ate worked wonders. once i d started getting the weight off, things started getting easier.kudos to you for actually exercising (i hate excercise!!) but you need to take a look at your diet too.

Take a deep breath. And another... and another...I know what your going through. I know what it s like to be up late at night and stressing over everything.I promise, you will be okay. I weighed like EXACTLY that much when I was your age... believe me, it gets better. You won t end up like your mom. Your mom has made choices in her life, that s why she is who she is. And that s with everyone. And it s not a bad thing. You don t HAVE to make the choices she has. You can learn from them and decide you don t want to be like her.You need to just be you. No matter what you weigh, just being you is more than good enough for the rest of the world. I know it may not be what you ultimately want... but it s what your best at. So why not embrace it?I ve found that when I m not trying to loose weight, I loose it. It s usually when I m happy and active. Like going out with friends to a park or something.I really can relate to what your going through and you don t have to be anything you don t want to be. You don t have to be your mom. I don t need to look at you to know your a beautiful human being... and you always will be... no matter what you look like. It s hard to know that and except it, but it s true.

wow, first of all..is your mom still doing all of that stuff while you are around her? i would say the number one thing to get sorted out is her behavior around her children. it s the most unhealthy thing about your post.secondly, stress is a major factor in weight loss. it sounds like you might be more than a little stressed about your weight loss and lack thereof, as well as perhaps a few other things?if you re only 12, you are still growing. weight loss probably is not going to happen right now, and rightfully so. you are growing and need the nutrients and fat and carbs and all that stuff food provides. if you deprive yourself now, you re only setting yourself up for greater failure later in life.i would suggest addressing some of the other issues going on in your life other than your weight, and get happy and healthy and see where things go from there. i know a lot of the times that i am down or something in my life is making me nuts is when i hang onto extra weight. once i sort things out though, things start to improve and i can only suggest the same for you.

Well first, Dont be like your mom. When you think your fat, just remember who you are and there will always be someone fatter out there. Getting in shape takes work and effort.it took me about 4 years to get the way i wanted. I use to be a weak kid and small. im 16 now and i look(no joke) like a body builder. after a few years of good diet, exercising, and making it a life goal to get big, i did it.trust me, nothing comes easy. dont give up hope. learn to live with it and be happy. things change trust me. if you cant(but i have faith, everyone and anyone can do anything they set their mind to)then learn to like it. find its good sides.trust me there are good sides to everything. One thing i suggest is less soda, more fruit and veg. no joke. trust me, with some work i promise in a few months youll be turning heads. Dont give up, and until you achieve, learn to love it
