Real weight loss tips.? -

Okay, so I don t need to hear anything about diet pills or anything like that. And I m also not trying to lose 100lbs overnight. Basically, I have been a little heavy for several years, and I m trying to get down below 200lbs (currently 235), and I am male.I have the motivation to go to the gym, as I go 7 days a week. I love to run, so I go 7 days a week and run on the treadmill or the elliptical. My problem is, I know I should be lifting weights too, I just don t know how to do it.Some people say split the workout up, some say do full body every few days. Really, I just need a real fitness expert to tell me how to do it. I think personal trainers are great, but mostly for motivation to show up to the gym, and since I have that motivation already, I don t want to pay someone to show me how to do something I could learn for free.So, I am looking for somebody well versed (pretty please know what you re talking about, not just opinion or what you think) to tell me which body parts I should be working, which ones I should work together, split/full body, etc. How many reps/sets. Basically, a workout plan that you would use if you needed to lose weight.P.s.- Currently I do chest/biceps on one day, triceps/back on another day, and shoulders by themselves. My legs are pretty big from playing hockey for a long time, so I currently don t work them out, plus I run a lot. Eat less, move more. Eat four to six meals a day with breakfast being the largest and dinner the smallest. Eat the majority of your calories earlier in the day. Avoid sodas and junk foods.

Use the stairs instead of the elevator whenever you can. Elevators are one hell of a convenience particularly if you have to go up or down some twenty floors. But elevators also make us very lazy. There may be no sense in trudging up some twenty flights of stairs because by the time you get there you will be totally pooped. But while coming down, if you have the time, you can easily come down the stairs instead of using the elevator. Coming down is not at all exhausting. And talking about the time factor, I don��t think that there is much of a difference. Sometimes waiting for an elevator door to open at your floor after you hit the button can take up all of eternity.

While traveling in an elevator instead of just standing there and staring stupidly at the numbers going up or down, try raising your self onto your toes and then back on your feet again. Do this several times. Also try flexing your buttock muscles as well. In fact there are many muscles in our body that we can twitch and flex without inviting the attention of others. Even if others do notice you, it��s no big deal provided you are flexing a muscle in a decent part of the body. (Most of the other parts do not have muscles any way.) Others might brand you as a health freak but it is miles better to be known as a heath freak than as a sack of potatoes.

Psst. I would like to let you in on a secret. As it is I understand that most of us tend to put on weight particularly in the mid section, right. It is the tummy that seems to have a mind of its own. Well I will tell you a sure shot method to reduce the flab around the waist line. Mind you this doesn��t hold true for post pregnancy tummies. This is what you have to do. Breathe in air as strongly as you can and as you do so, tuck in your tummy as much as you can. Hold it like this for a few seconds and then slowly release your breath taking care not to let out your tummy. Try to keep breathing like this at least fifty or sixty times in a day. In fact breathe like this whenever you can remember to do so. After the first day, you should feel the muscles of your stomach tightening each time you do this. Then you know that you are on the right track. If you practice this without fail for 20 days, at the end of the twentieth day, you will have lost at least an inch.

Try breathing exercises. You might be surprised to know that breathing exercises too can lead to weight loss. If you are doing the breathing exercises properly, you will find that you can exert a lot of pressure on the muscles around the mid section. You can feel a tightening of these muscles each time you breathe in or breathe out. So go ahead and breathe properly, it is good for you.

If you have a sitting job, stand up and stretch yourself every half an hour. Most of the jobs today are indeed sitting jobs that are in one word sedentary. This is especially true for those who sit and punch away at the keyboard or toy with the mouse all day long. So if you have such a job, make it a point to get up at least every half an hour and stretch your self.

Do things like fetching, turning things off and on by you�� Often when we come back tired from work, we tend to get others to do simple chores for us. These things are no big deal. They are things that we can very well do for our selves but we don��t. That is why we often ask our kids to fetch us this or take away that. Training your pet is a wonderful thing indeed. It is quite remarkable how some people get their dogs to fetch them something. But the fact is that while you may be making sure that your dog is getting a lot of exercise, you are neglecting your bit of the story.

If you want to lose weight and remain healthy about it, a pound of fat is 3500 calories. So you would have to trim your calorie intake by 500 per day for a week to lose one pound. Of course, exercising daily will accelerate this process, but start slow so you don t injure yourself. Walking briskly for an hour a day is great. If you re serious about this join your local gym, they probably have an aerobics class that meets one hour each day. Personally, I went for the long-haired look. Not all women like that look, but there are more women who like it than there are long-haired guys to go around.My best advice for winning Ra Chelle: talk to her. It doesn t matter what you talk about, just talk. Get her phone number and call her from time to time. If she laughs at your jokes and smiles when she sees you, ask her out. If not, move on. Plenty of fish in the sea.

Well maybe if you want to loose weight then (this is what I would do) I would take a walk or jog for at least 30 min. each day. If you want to get a girl friend you would probably just ask a person that you have a crush because I know you might have a crushask her out like not yet to go out to dinner just maybe ice creamgood luck

Kinda depends on your build/ personality. What kind of image do you want to portray?Do you want to look sophisticated, or edgy? As for weighloss you need to eat healthier foods and exercise more. The calories you eat need to all be burned off (you eat 2000 calories a day then you need to burn off 2100). Don not starve yourself, you ll actually slow your metabolism and become prone to gaining weight more easily. As for those pills claiming to increase your metabolism to help you lose weight, all they do is increase your heart rate putting you at risk for a heart attack.As for the girl, be yourself.If you re not her type then it s better to be with someone who likes you for who you are.

Instead of asking yourself Am I full yet? try asking Am I still hungry? Whenever you feel you wanna have a snack,aim for the water bottle instead.Convince yourself that you don t like bread,that you don t really feel like having dessert right now,that one cube of sugar in your drink is more than enough,that olives are only yummy with a glass of martini,and that you don t really like martini.And so on.If you can t afford the gym now,dance in your room for an hour/day.If I think of something else, I ll post again :)

Really you might have to try a few things to see what works best for you because i have learned that any one lifestyle does not fit everyone. I cannot go on a strict diet that does not allow me to eat sweets and things that i normally eat so i have a system where i just gradually cut back on the unhealthy things but i do not completey eliminate them because i would never stick to it. Eating 5 small meals a day of about 300 calories each works well for me for a total of about 1500 calories a day. I also have one day a week where i get to treat my self to whatever i want. I personally like ice cream so on that one day i may have a cheeseburger and some ice cream but after that one day i am back to my regualar healthy eating. Also i cannot emphaize how important excercise is to weight loss and to your over all health. you have to find some exercise that you like to do or once again you wont stick to it. I like to run/jog and i am up to 5 miles a day at least 6 days a week and i also try to add an half an hour a day where i just turn on some of my favorite music and just dance which you will be suprised at how much of a sweat you can work up. So over all i would say that every one is different so you have to find out what works for you. If you are not seeing any changes then pay more attention to what you are eating, eat more whole wheat instead of things like white bread, pasta, potatoes, etc. if you need a soda drink diet (it takes the same as regular to me). to boost your metabolism drink green tea and also a strong cup of black coffee will help to get my metabolism going. Use sweetners like splenda and try to get away from regular sugar. Increase your cardio (running, etc) because i think that pilates is good for strength and toning but you need to sweat more to loose the weight. hope that helped.

It s all about consistancy Sam....being committed regular. Weight isn t the major factor as long as you aren t grossly overweight.....it s more about your overall fitness being disciplined to exercise often , eat less watching your intake of sugar.Sugar is a killer if you think about it , most processed foods contain bucketloads of it....stay off the soda pops , cakes , cookies, etc etcKeep up the running ....

i lost 19 kgs in 4 months after i gave birth.the way i did it is:i stopped eating white bread and switched to wholemeal bread....as it has more fibre,it makes you feel fuller for longer.i no longer skip breakfast,having a good healthy breakfast will give you the energy you need to go thru your day without reaching for that bar of chocolate or that muffin at work.i switched from a light lunch and a good dinner To a good lunch and a light dinner.my snacks are fruit and fat free yogurt.i do have that piece of chocolate cake now and than but i always try to minimize the portion and have a large glass of water before any meal.All meals have to have veggies in them,my favorite is broccoli and boiled english spinach seasoned with lemon juice.Tip:use smaller plates and always have a variety of different colored veggies in each meal.Another tip:have a weekly plan of what your meals will be for the whole week and get all the stuff you need so you don t get tempted in the shops to buy procced foods.BTW: i did that diet 8 years ago and i kept the weight off.

Ya im trying to loss 5 kg and its too difficult for me but anyway I don��t eat chocolate or sweet almost nothing its just cuz I don��t like sweet but I like very much photos and ships so I stopped eating them till now :S and every day I go running for 1 hr but in the off days I go to the beach and I stay around 3 hr swimming but sadly I still didn��t lose even gram :(My friends are taking slimming pills and they lost a lot but I don��t want to take this I don��t think that they are good

A scripture verse from the bible is helping me currently. Do not eat choice foods because not every food is good for every body. So i have been eating foods I don t choose usually. I have found that these foods (while I have no passion for them but don t hate them--fill me up and I don t over eat.) And the added bonus is that I have stopped thinking about choice food and I eat get full and as long as I stay with neutral foods I wouldn t ordinarily choose, my body is getting healthier and feeling better.

I have a small trampoline. its so good it really keeps those extra pounds off me, so im jumping up and down in my lounge to music... my neighbours think im nuts but it works hahai would have a smaller portion of food for dinner if i felt like i needed to cut down a bit, i heard eating dinner earliest as possible is best because gives time to digest and break down while you are still up and walking about than if you are sleeping and not doing anything (so i have heard anyways) i will try not to snack between meals, or replace these with fruit.

Avoid eating regular bread. Try the thin one, 3al saj. I eat a labneh sandwich in the morning with a fruit, i have a steak or chicken for lunch with a salad...in the afternoon i eat a fruit again..at night I eat a cheese sandwich, white cheese..with a fruit or some salad. Drink water when you get hungry and try not to eat more than 3 times a day.

stop eating to much pizzas and pasta, eat more vegetables less meat, drink 8 glass of water per day and do excersices! the best way to lose weight is doing some excersices. plus be patient there is not yet a magic formula to be 90 60 90 in one week.

eat more frequently but in less amounts.. as in instead of 3 full meals a day, 6 half meals.it keeps u more full and it keeps ur digestive system running smoothly.exercize regularly, even simple ones before bed n in the morning wen u wake up..they say white tea works.. give it a try as wellgd luck! =]

I used to jog everyday and stopped eating dinner....Now its getting hotter so i stopped joggingbut i swim everyday :DThats how i stay fit :)

I have a food problem? -

i dont particularly like eating cos i need to lose weight, so i try to avoid it as much as possible, but sometimes i cant help myself and eat ridiculous amounts of food. then i feel sad for the rest of the day and want to throw up. sometimes i do make myself throw up but its not good so im trying not to now. my question is whats wrong with me for food to make me sad? and has anyone got any good weight loss tips?

i feel your pain. i m pretty slim and i like to keep it that way. if i eat too much, i feel crappy...and sad. you could eat super healthy 6 days out of the week and have a cheat day on the 7th. you can eat whatever you want on that 7th day, but dont over-do it. that s the way i get by.

Hi, I know what you feel like. Don t avoid food because once your body thinks it s starving it will retain anything you eat especially when you start to binge eat, so you are better off eating if you need to rather than starving then binging. You could try and do the atkins diet, it works. OR try one of them Oprah diets, most diets work, you just have to adjust them at times to suit you, i.e. we don t all weigh the same, so you may need to reduce your calories to lose weight. You can still eat a lot of meals in a day with less calories and you will surprisingly lose weight. goo luck

It sounds like you might have an eating disorder honey.. Have you ever heard of bulimia? Bulimics binge (eat large amounts), feel guilty, and so purge (be sick to remove it from their bodies). You don t have to be making yourself sick all the time to be bulimic, though, but it does sound like you may have an eating disorder. You re not alone in this, i myself used to be Anorexic, and would feel so awfully guilty if i ate anything over 300 calories a day at one point. The thing to do is talk this over with someone; feeling like this isn t how you have to go on.. Eating, and giving your body energy, isn t supposed to be a guilty act.. If you want to lose weight, try and set yourself a daily target - if you eat over it, do exercise to burn the excess off. Trust me, that will be far better..

You have an unhealthy relationship with food at the moment, I say that because it can be fixed. If a GP has checked u out and its not physical then your body is rejecting the food because of something psychological.No one likes that word because we tend to think something is wrong with us . My best advice from personal experience is to sit down and be brutally honest with yourself about the good and bad things in your life all of them. Then formulate a plan to tackle each of them. ITs not an overnight process. so start with small meals if you still feel hungry have a glass of water. Very important to eat slowly and chew properly.We have trouble with food sometimes because its the easiest thing in our lives to control. Also go and see a dietician so they can get you the food your body needs and help you.

It sounds like you re verging on Bulimia Nervosa, an eating disorder. You need to get therapy, honey.

Cabbage soup diet or fast weight loss methods? -

hiI am currently breastfeeding about 4 times a day and I was wondering if I can go on the cabbage soup diet..I know mothers who are strictly breastfeeding can t. My son is 6 months old and is already on the bottle and solids.I currently weight 230 pounds ,need to loose 80 and need to do it fast. Already tried weight watchers and other methods of weight loss and know I should only lose about1-3 pounds a week but I don t have that kind of patience. I know all the lectures about gaining it back faster and being unhealthy but I don t care. once i see quick results I will get motivated to keep the pounds off in a healthy way.i am very depressed over this issue and don t want anybody to leave me negative comments or answers that i am not looking for. any fast weight loss tips would be greatly appreciated. no diet pills and I cannot afford to join any fitness centers .thank you

This is the fastest (healthiest) but not the easiest.First off, DO NOT take diet pills. They can do some serious harm to your heart. Plus they don t work they re a waste of money.Here s what you do for quick weight loss plus you will feel better: Cut out all breads, pasta, cookies, cereals, crackers, chocolate, sweets, icecream, cakes, pizza, all fast food etc...basically anything made from flour away from sugar. They are all called simple carbs. They are carbs which leave us hungry for more that s what makes us fat. Go on a gluten free diet...You will lose weight not gain if you re careful to eat correctly.We need to have complex carbs. (fruits, veggies, salads, protein.) Have lots of fruits veggies.If you want a snack like crackers or something...go buy gluten free rice cakes from health food store. Snack on 1 or 2 a day. The only sweet you can have is maybe a tbsp of honey on a rice cracker. Just don t have more than one.Also you can buy gluten free flour from the health food store make your own bread.Make sure you have ahead of time (like night before) cut up carrot sticks to munch on the following day. You can put lemon on them for more taste. Avoid cold cut meats.
