How to lose weight after cardio? -

I am a female and want to lose some weight and have been running on the treadmill and want to know what else I can do besides cardio. I want to do some extra workouts after like abs to help with the weightloss after I do the cardio. Anyone got any ideas what I can do?

Weight loss is an overall process. You need to think about many factors. There are many sensible things you can do that will make a tremendous difference over the long term if you need to lose weight. It can be done in a healthy way. This is what has worked for me.Keeping a food journal really does help. It will give you a much better sense of how much you are eating, and when, and why.Make a few additional small changes - walk everywhere, always use stairs instead of elevators, walk on escalators, get up and move around at least once an hour if your work or your life in general is sedentary, walk every day, use a pedometer. Walking 10,000 steps a day is a really good idea. Build up to a long brisk walk everyday, or most days. Be more active and watch less TV and spend less time on the computer. Buy one piece of exercise equipment to have at home and be strict with yourself about using it. Sometimes you can find mini-steppers or exercise bikes at second hand stores and thrift stores for just a few dollars.Start a weight lifting routine. Join a gym. Possibly you can find one that has someone who specializes in weight lifting programs for beginners. Weight lifting will increase your metabolism as well as improve posture and appearance overall. Even if you can t get to the gym you can work out at home using things around the house. Invest in a good weight training book. The Dummies series actually has a good one. In terms of diet, cut out or reduce things like junk food, pop, fat, fast food. Eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meat, fish. Particularly if you choose a vegetarian lifestyle include natural peanut butter, hummus, dried fruit and nuts. Pay close attention to getting the nutrients your body needs to be healthy. Make your portion sizes smaller. Use a smaller plate - in our society we have become accustomed to thinking that we need a large plate of food at every meal, and we don t. About quarter of your plate of food should be protein and at least half of it should be veggies. Learn to count calories. At your current weight and activity level, you may possibly need about 2000 calories or more to maintain your current weight. So you will lose weight at a reasonable and healthy rate if you cut back to about 1600 or 1700 calories a day. Eat small amounts frequently, rather than three large meals. Never skip breakfast. Include some protein in your breakfast. It will help get you through the day.Drink plenty of water, at least 8 big glasses of water a day, and more if it is very hot, if you sweat a lot, or if you are exercising intensely, and eliminate fruit juices. Fruit juices have too many calories, so get your vitamins from fresh fruit, not the juice. You will begin to see changes in your body. An area that many people overlook is getting enough sleep. You are much more likely to overeat or to binge eat if you are tired and not well rested, so get enough sleep.Check out websites about nutrition, exercise, weight training, etc. Here are a few helpful links.http://www.nutrawatch.com/http://www.caloriesperhour.com/http://www.helpguide.org/life/healthy_eahttp://www.wikihow.com/Lose-Weight-the-Hhttp://weightloss.about.com/cs/fitness/ahttp://www.webmd.com/fitness-exercise/fe

How to lose weight with 2 childen? -

So My daughter just turned a year old and i am still 12 lbs over what I was before i got pregnant. I have been trying everything. To eat healthier, avoiding white grain only eating whole wheat grains) cutting calories, but I cannot seem to find time to excercise. I do take a hip hop class dance one night a week but i know that is not enough any busy mothers have any tips?

I understand you are busy, and weight loss might be a little harder for you. However, you can use your kids to lose weight too! Running around the house or yard with your kids actually burns quite a few calories! I would try this website http://www.sparkpeople.com to log calories, track any and all cardio. The program will give you a daily range to stay within so you can stay on track. Just input your goal weight and when you would like to lose it by and it will adjust your calories/cardio. Sounds like you are on the right track though! Eating healthy is good, and eating 5 smaller meals a day will speed up your metabolism too. Great recipes on the website too, very healthy and delicious! Try it for a week and see how much it will change the way you think about foods!

To add to what the others have said, I would like you to think about another little something. Your baby is only one year old. That s only 12 months. Now, it s natural for the female body to want to carry a little extra weight as a preparation mechanism to become pregnant again. If you are still breast feeding you don t need to worry at all about it. If you didn t breast feed or stopped too soon, use to be mothers would breast feed for at least 2-3 years, your body is still trying to deal with that. It s the natural process the system goes through. Also, if you are no longer breast feeding, you might be on birth control which will slow down the body from reforming itself. Try to relax with the situation and see if you can give it another 6 months to pull itself together. By the way, 12lbs isn t too bad after what your body went through. You did good.

I found this really quick workout that only takes 9 minutes a day. You dont need any equipment and you can really feel (and see) the results. When you have a minute or two check out http://www.combatendurancefitness.com. The site leaves a little to be desired, but the DVD workout is good.

The principal secret to lose weight fast is to consume definitely more than 3 servings each day. Look at this good source to learn more.

How can i lose weight? -

im 12 and every one calls me fat so i wana know how to lose weight .i weigh 55kg

I have a teacher who was once obese. During her college, she sleeps 2 am and wakes up at 4 am. She eats bread only for lunch, but eat right during breakfast and dinner. She said breakfast and dinner are very important meals. She s always studying her lessons, and maybe due to too much work with a little rest, she s now slim.

Losing weight is difficult, however, you are lucky. You are at an age at which your metabolism is a lot faster than us older folks! One way to lose weight is to spend time doing physical things. If you can walk to school or walk at school (besides just going to classes, walk around the school in your spare time), you will burn those kilos away. At the end of the day, instead of going in the fridge for those delicious snacks, or reaching for your playstation, go outside and do something physical. Running is a great way to burn energy. Get some friends together and play basketball or softball or some type of team sport that involves a lot of movement. Also, watch what you eat at meals. My mom loves to serve me pancakes slathered with delicious butter and syrup every morning. When I gave those up (along with the other fat gaining things I love to eat), I lost some weight. I pay attention to my snacks now, reaching for an apple or fruit instead of a donut. Finally, get some support. If these mean people are calling you fat, show them up by hanging out with cool peeples, develop friendships and lose weight not because people call you fat, but because you want to. Best of luck to you!

no way forget it....once u get fat theres no saving u and im serios, u will get fatter and fatter as u grow up and even if u do exercise nthing significnt would happen

Eat less, exercise more, and do stuff around the house to move your body

take honey with hot water,

How to lose weight for prom in 2 weeks? -

i dont want to lose a huge amount of weight, just like a little bit off my waist and just so i make sure i fit into my dress. any quick ways?

WARNING!!!!!!! Whatever you do, don t listen to the suggestions of not eating for 5 days or other unhealthy diets. Like that all liquid diet of water, lemon, maple syrup CRAP!!! That is completley horrible for your body and can cause serious problems. Just so you know, When ever you don t eat for a few days, yes you will lose weight but when you start eating again you will balloon in size and gain back all the weight you lost and lots more. Never starve yourself. That is Bull Crap and I can t believe people suggested that. I m sorry but the only way to lose weight is Diet and Exercise. Losing weight takes time. Unfortunately I don t think there is much you can do in 2 weeks. But I suggest running on a treadmill or elyptical in a gym, running outside or jump rope for minimum of 30 minutes every day for the next 2 weeks. drink as much water as you can every day. Absolutley no soda or sport/energy drinks. Eat as many fruits and vegetables you can each day. Do not eat at least 2 hours before bedtime. If you do that much or more you may get some results and you ll have more energy for the prom!If you starve yourself for 5 days before the prom how much energy do you think you ll have on prom night? Serioulsy. You ll feel like death all night and will regret not eating. That is never a good idea. GOOD LUCK!!

Eat healthy, drink plenty of water, exercise for at least an hour daily. If it s white, don t eat it. (flour, rice, potatoes)

Drink plenty of water and cut out all salty foods. This will keep you from retaining water, which will make you puffy.Next, cut out all foods with sugar and white flour - no pasta, no cookies, no soda, no bread, no cereal. For each meal eat a serving of lean protein - for breakfast you could have a sugar-free protein shake with low-fat milk, whey protein powder, and some of your favorite berries (steer clear of bananas which are high in sugar.) For lunch have a serving of chicken or tuna salad with a tablespoon of mayo on a bed of greens. For dinner have a serving of meat and a side of vegies and a side salad - keeping your consumption of potatoes and rice low will help too. If you want bread have whole-wheat and keep it to 2 slices a day at most. The alternative? Go to the lingerie store and purchase a waist nipper. :)

You can try a lemon clense. Do this without eating for a minimum of 5 days. Drink several glasses of this a day.8 oz. of water1/2 a lemon1 or 2 tbls. of maple syrup (The real stuff)Pinch of cayenne pepper

dont eat anything for a couple of days, and do sit ups.

Hey, well just to let you know you are not the only one that is trying to lose weight before prom night...! because I m trying to do the same, but my advise to you is to don t eat big portions of food . . . and every time that you are going to eat, lets say It s lunch time drink a glass or two of water before you start eating that way you could get full faster and at the same time you don t eat as much as before. an your stomach will get used to eating little bit amount of food . . . an let me tell you it does work .. but don t forget to drink a glass of water after you are done eating because water helps lose weight. . !!!! And maybe go out and round a lap or so it will make you feel great about your self and even and look great .... that will be wounderful

There isnt anything thats quick unless you feel like fasting or amputating an arm. Best and most effective way is to eat small healthy meals throughout the day like 4-5 and none should be more than 400 cal. Next drink lots and lots of water. If you could only drink water that would help. Also cardio is key. 3-5 45 minutes cardio sessions a week. Do this and you will see some minor results before prom. Good luck to you!

Any weight loss tips? -

I m 5 2 and weigh 112lbs, my goal weight is 106lbs, around there..I ve been going to the gym meveryday (spinning class and treadmill) and eating healthy (also drinking only water and tons of it!). Is there anything else i can do? (I m only 18 yrs old so I m guessing it shouldn t take too long to lose the weight right?) thanks!

go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food after 7p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on yourinitial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If you don t eat wheat then you don t eat all those sticky, fatty goey cakes, you don t eat junk food, and you don t eat biscuits. But your diet isstill balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to calculate points or to buy special meals or plans.

you are quite skinny, and i think if you were 106 you might look a bit thinanyway here you are...i did it and i lost about 30lbs over about 3-4 monthsbut anyway, if you want to lose some weight, then you have to limit your calorie intake. i would recommend about 800-1300 calories a day.you should split this up into protein (white meats, fish and pulses), fruit, veg and dairy. the dairy is important for iron and calcium. it can also be quite low in fat and calories if you have skimmed milk and low fat cheese and yoghurt.try and avoid sweets, cakes, chocolate and biscuits - they stimulate your appetite, make you more hungry and they have loads of sugar and fat!protein is essential for weight loss. you should eat either meat, fish or pulses once a day (or more if you want). as you won t eat many carbohydrates, you body turns to fat to use as energy. if you consume fewer fats they will get used up, causing you to lose weight.protein is vital to maintain your muscle mass.cut out the chips and crisps, and any other carbs like bread, rice and pastaif you have to eat carbohydrates have the brown grains like brown bread and brown ricemake sure you exercise lots - try and fit at least 30 minutes into your day if you can. you can do more if you want, but vary it like cardio and muscle training too.at the beginning of each month set yourself a goal - whether you want to fit into a pair of jeans, lose 5lbs or only eat chocolate once a week, set a goal to achieve.if you achieve it by the end of the month give yourself a treat - go and see a movie, go shopping with your friends, or go out for a nice meal.good luckxx

It sounds like your on the right track to lose 6 pounds. It shouldn t take very long. But you have to remember that throughout the day people s weights fluctuate a lot. I could weight 120 in the morning and then 127 at night. I wouldn t focus at all on the amount you weight, especially since your probably already at your ideal weight. Just keep running and spinning and you ll feel great. You could up the intensity of your workouts also.

I would suggest a cleansing diet. I lost 12 pounds in 9 days and then 28 pounds in less than a month. I also lost a lot of inches too! I learned that cleansing will help the body get rid of toxins. Toxins come from a lot of things like fast food, pollution, food additives and preservatives and lots of other things. The toxins get stored in the fat in our body. To get rid of the fat, we have to get rid of the toxins by cleansing the body. This made sense to me and I decided to try a cleanse program and it worked. The weight came off fast and this kept me motivated to keep going, not like other diets where the weight loss it too slow. I did Jenny Craig, Weight Watcher and Medifast. If you want to learn more call the toll free number 1-877-587-4647 or check out the website. This was the first time I ever did a cleanse, it was easy and I feel better. Good luck whatever you decide to do! http://thebestcleansingdiet.com

How to lose weight? Fast! I dont care how i do it just need to lose weight. Recovering from bulimia.? -

Please help! I gained so much over the midterm and need to lose weight. I try and starve myself. never works. What foods should i stay away from. Any diet plans, stories anything. Iv just stop making myself sick because i cant anymore. So need help!

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together. If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, whichwill lead to increase of weight, or muscle growunderneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet withoutexercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. Fordiet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no foodafter 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending onyour initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. Ifyou don t eat wheat then you don t eat all those sticky, fatty goeycakes, you don t eat junk food, and you don t eat biscuits. But yourdiet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have tocalculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising, start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is themost efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight alot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack, disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to targetyour problem areas for men and women. It s not necessarily to become abodybuilder or even join a gym - a couple of dumbbells will help youto target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).

My advice is to eat as healthily as you can. Not stuff yourself, but eat as normally as you can cos that will help you most.Starving yourself makes you put on weight cos your body stores everything as fat....Maybe eat in small amounts - when you eat a large amount you feels guilty and sick right? so eat little and often. Don t worry about fitting in with everyone else, just do your own thing. For example eat every couple of hours some fruit or a smoothie or some cereal. That way you won t feel guilty. But if you do - don t think about it. Just move on. Everyone gets that.Remember to drink plenty of water and get plenty of fresh air and exercise. Every time you feel miserable go out for a walk trust me it helps!Good foods to eat are fish, chicken, obviously tons of fruit and veg, but like I said in small amounts and often. Finally, its important to keep someone close, like a family member or friend to tell all your feelings and support you. Even if you write down how you re feeling in a diary etc - just so you don t feel alone.Hope this helps a bit and good luck - it ll be fine! xx

Please, whatever you do don t starve yourself again! If you want to lose some weight FAST here some steps I would takeDrink Water!: Drink 2 litres per day. This will help you to shed water weight that your body stores for vital bodily functions. As a result, you will see inches coming of your legs, hip, mid-riff etc. Eat protein: Protein such as chicken breasts, fish, eggs, meat etc. can increase the bodies thermic effect as your body works harder to digest these foods. Result increased fat loss.4-5 meals per day: This is better than 1-2 big meals as It increases the work your body has to do to digest the food. Result increased fat loss.Exercise 3-4 times per week: A light to moderate power walk for a half a hour consistently.DO NOT MISS MEALS!: This is SOO important as young peoples biggest misconception is that eatting less or nothing at all will help me lose weight. I won t go into detail but trust me stick to your 4-5 meals per day with protein with every meal.Fill out Body2Shape s Weight Loss Diet Menu and I will equip you with a Free Personalized Diet so that you can lose weight effectively and most importantly SAFELY.

Xenical is used to help obese people who fit certain weight and height requirements lose weight and maintain weight loss. Xenical works in your intestines, where it blocks some of the fat you eat from being absorbed. This undigested fat is then eliminated in your bowel movements. Use Xenical together with a reduced-calorie diet. The weight management effects of Xenical continue only as long as you are taking it.http://24onlinedrug.com/?product=xenical

I ll tell you how I lost 13 pounds in 2 short weeks. Seriously, and I didn t do any fancy weight watching program or even exercise at all. I went out of country to visit my relatives in India. They had no junk food in the house, and I didn t want to drink their milk or eat their eggs/cheese because I wasn t sure if they were sterilized. So all I ate all day was bread, cookies, tea, and occasionally rice with potatoes or meat. At the end of the 2 weeks I went from weighing 113 to 99 pounds! So, I would recomend keeping the BARE MINIMUM amount of food in the house (once you determine how much you need to eat in the house, take out some MORE food from that amount). Keep yourself really busy by watching t.v., reading, or going out. Don t give yourself a minute to think about food. This isn t the healty choice. They healthy choice would involve going to the gym and watching your calories. Now a days what I do is I keep no junk food in the house, drink lots of water, and walk as much as I can. I ve gained weight since I went to India (I weigh 108 now) but I m working on going down to 105 (my dream weight, I d like to stay 105 for the rest of my life :) Hope this helped.

try starting an exercise program like p90x eat healthy---1800 calories a day more fruits and veggies less meat

Weight loss tips? -

i just renewed my gym membership...i go whenever i have time which is about 3-4 times a week - one hour per visit...yet i cant seem to lose any weight. im maintaining the same weight...its really aggrevating. i even tried replacing my normal lunches with fruits....what am i doing wrong and or what can i do to lose some weight!?!?!

Turn the thermostat of your house lower. Your body will have to generate more heat itself which is a great calory burner. You will feel more energetic as well, since sitting still cools you down. This really works, it saves energy and money as well, but off course you should not try to compensate it by wearing more clothes.

great weight loss programs and exercises in this article that will help you

There are so many possibilities here: Even though you re not losing weight, are you losing inches? Maybe you need something to help your body better target your body s stored fat when you re working out. Muscle does really weigh more than fat, which could explain the no pound-shedding.Sometimes too many carbs, not enough lean meat, green vegetables, or good fats (yes there are some) can interfere with weight loss. Also some fruits and vege s are actually high in carbs. There is a wonderful new weight management program out there that helps address all these issues for you. If you d like to know more, I d be happy to answer your questions about it. email: kac4646@yahoo.com

really fatloss comes down to a simple equationcolories in - calories burnedIts kind of hard to measure calories-burned but calories-in is easy. plenty of places on the net will help you count em or tell you how to.Then there are a number of nasty little side things you gotta know.A diabetic friendly diet is best for losing weight. You want to keep your blood sugar even keel. That means cutting out all those sugary sodas. Replace them with a liter of water mixed with 25g or so of protein powder. Its kind of watery, but it has under half the calories of a soda. And you need lots of water if you exercise every day. And if you are trying to lose wieght, do that - exercise almost everyday.Cut the fruit - it spikes the blood sugar. Spiking the blood sugar calls out insulin into the bloodstream to move food into your cells. BUT a little known side effect is it Stops fat from being moved out of your fat cells to be burned by your body - mainly because it s heard you have plenty of sugar in your bloodstream that is great for burning for energy. So you REALLLY need to keep the sugar under control. Some bread, or pasta isn t going to kill you, just dont go crazy.Good luck!

Get a trainer there, cut the fruit and eat more green, yellow and red veggies. You should also really review serving sizes and numbers of servings for your weight class. Also make sure at the gym you wake in a stiff pain the next day.RM certified personal trainer

drink plenty of water and try start counting calories there must be something that you are eating that has more calories than the ones you really need. otherwise check with your doctor.

take ephedra? i use Thermalean. you can only get it from certain places though, and its illegal (over here). But twice a day and you lose the weight instantly without any effort.Either that or try adding more cardio to your workout, and eating less calories. Thats the only way you re going to lose extra pounds. good luck :]

Eat balance diet, avoid smoking and drinking liquor, exercise, regular check-up to your doctor.

Stop eating.I lost 110 pounds in three months...how s that sugar?G.luck

Drinking water is the key. Drink a bit more. Do not replace meals you will feel rundown.

Try the CSIRO dietThe basis of CSIRO is higher protein and lower but not completely devoid of carbs. Here s a link to a site which gives you some of the recipes and the actual first 6 weeks of the diet for free:http://www.themainmeal.com.au/index.cfm?Basically a balanced diet, including high protein foods (protein foods make you feel fuller for longer) such as lean red meat, chicken and fish you can excahnge for vegetarian options too). Cut down on processed carbs and exchange them for less processed foods (ie exchange white bread for multigrain) Eat 3 main meals a day but add some healthier snacks...if you crave sugar and fatty snacks like I do, replace them with more natural substitutes. eg change over a candy bar/chocolate for dried or normal piece of fruit, instead of chips have some mixed nuits.Make sure you are also having high fibre foods (that s where the fruit and nuts are really handy)...pick lower sugar cereals that have higher fibre such as Sultana Bran or Fibre Plus.Don t foget to drink at least 2 litres of water ...I still allow myself a diet drink too every dayDon t forget to add at least half an hour exercisea day...morning for weightloss, evening for weight maintenence. I go to gym 5-6 mornings a week...that s alot but to lose the weight I have had to make time for me. I have also added two boxing classes Alternately I do walk for 40 minutes on a Saturday. I did start my exercising at the beginning by just walking. Also if you find yourself starting to plateau then you need to vary your routine...change your exercising pattern aroundMost importantly of all ...be kind to yourself and don t crucify yourself if you slip a bit...it happens, just don t write the whole day/week off if you do...I found allowing myself some chocolate every week has curbed the urge to binge.Cheers and good luck

Sounds like you have hit a weight loss Plateau.Step up your exercise routine. Treadmill, Stair Stepper, Cardio, Weight Training. Find a good well balanced diet! Add more WATER and WALKING to your exercise routine.

Homeopathic Treatment for Excessive Fat and Weight :-PHYTOLACCA BERRY s Mother Tincture is perhaps the safest and sure fire way of loosing excessive fat around abdomen. With Phytolacca Berry once you loose the excessive fat and weight you don t get it back because you body takes care of itself after that and keeps you from gathering up excessive fat. It is prescribed after having a baby too, to get the tummy to loose its flab and to make it flatter and tighter. And after loosing weight with this you don t get flabby it tightens up the flab and skin along with helping your body to shed the excessive accumulation of fat around the girthThe dosage is 15 to 20 drops of the tincture in half a cup of hot water thrice a day half hour before or after meals.Avoid Chocolates, Coffee, Mints, Red Meat and Carbonated and Alcoholic drinks while taking Homeopathic Medicines. You have to take it for at least 30 to 45 days after that you start to feel the results. To the best of my knowledge its the safest and the most sure fire way of loosing fat and weight and keeping it of for keeps. Excellent remedy for Obese people who cant seem to shed weight despite trying.Homeopathic Remedies can be found at all Major Herbal Stores or could be bought on line, In most of the world Homeopathic remedies are quite cheap and easy to find and they do not need a prescription.Take care and God Bless ! P.SRegular active exercise is advised with all weight loosing medicines and remedies :-) Take care

I believe that eating six small meals a day are the way to losing weight. Also drink plenty of water and exercise. Walking is excellent as well as doing strengthening exercises. The more vegetables and fruits you eat the better. They are an excellent source of vitamins and minerals and real food. Good luck!

You sound like your doing great from the exercise point of view. Stay with it. Don t kid yourself though - you are eating more than you think. I guarantee it. Start a food journal to make you honest with yourself.
