How can i Lose weight quickly? -

I have a wedding to attend to which i am a brides maid in. it is in august, any ideas on how i can lose weight before then, SAFELY? please help. thanks

If you are anything like me (and perhaps most people), counting calories will lose it s novelty after a while. I have never been overweight so to speak, but I recently (in Feb) was at my heaviest. I just woke up one day, and had made a concrete decision, I was discusted with my eating habits, and decided...no more cookies, no more sweets, and the MAIN thing that literally made the weight FALL OFF, was for me to stop eating at night. I was a chronic t.v. food person, and it was, no doubt, an addiction. I have a big sweet tooth, and, despite it s poor substituting qualities, I found sipping on diet Sierra Mist, helped to quench that craving. I didnt give myself a certain time I wouldnt eat after, but I cut back on carbs, and just ate dinner as my last intake of the evening. I swear... i was losing 2-3 lbs a week in the beginning. I have since lost 11 or 12 lbs, and am pretty close to the weight I was when I got married. And it goes without saying, get moving. I work out 3-4 days a week as well to stay toned and healthy.good luck girl!!

There is not fast way other wise everyone would be skinny. Go for tone, not just weight loss. Simply exercise and eat less. Its the only thing that actually works!

Exercise and eat less. What food you do eat should be low in fat. It s not rocket science. I suggest a diet rich in fish and vegetables. I have been pretty much living on salmon and broccoli with steak a couple of times a week. I m healthy and not at all overweight. I run around all day but that s part of my job. Diets and drugs don t work. Healthy eating and activity are the key to a healthy body. Look at Jack LaLane.

Burn more calories and eat way less. Do cardio work like running up and down steps, fast walking, cycling, dancing... anything that gets your heart pumping. Avoid sugar, grease and fat. Eat lots of veggies, drink only water or skim milk, chew sugarless gum when you want to snack.

What are you guys looking for in a weight loss program/book? -

I have seen tons of books out there these days, and I am skeptical about alot of them! South Beach Diet, Shapely Secrets, Thirty days to Thinner Thighs....there are just so many, and they all offer totally different information! I know what I would like out of a diet book, just out of curiousity what would you like to see in a fitness book? I personally looks for things that will guide me each and every day. I like having a plan, you know? I like having rules thrown at me, and I like when books use real-life situations (and don t just feed you the whole medical thing the WHOLE time).I had used the Beck Diet (I don t know if that s the exact title of it), but I liked how it related with the ordinary person. It worked great, and it almost messes with you psychologically (in a good way) to make you eat like a thin person...

When I m looking in a weight loss program book, I am personally looking for the key that s going to tell me the easy way to lose weight. Of course their is no book that has such a thing but hey, I can wish can t I.

i have just been diag. with polycystic ovarian syndrome and have been told that is why i am so heavy. i have started the pills and was wondering if there was anything else that would help?thanks in advance!

I was diag. last year and since my doctor was bent on NOT putting me on the pill, I was told that I should see a nutritionist. Since PCOS is related to your body over producing insulin, it is more than just finding a weight loss program, but changing your diet. I was told to start eating foods that were high in fiber and that would absorb the insulin that my body was overproducing. Since the needs of the people diagnosed are so varied, a nutritionist can work with you to find out a diet that is best fit for you. That, and doing my own research on PCOS has really helped me to understand the things I can do to get rid of it. If you search PCOS in a search engine, you can find a lot of information to get a handle on what really happens in your body that causes polycystic ovaries to happen because it s more than just having to do with your ovaries.

hey i am going through same thing, i have a few friends who went on weight watchers and had great results!!!! I highly recommend it. I am getting ready to start the program myself, so hopefully I will have thesame wonderful results as the women I know. How can I lose weight quickly? -

I want to lose 15 pounds by Christmas. First, is this possible, and if so, what is the best way to do it?

Yes, its possible. Workout everyday. Especially do lots of cardio like running or elliptical. To get it off the quickest do a good weight lifting routine then do your cardio as you ll be in the fat burning zone hardcore doing that. Eat clean. No fast food or excessive fat/carbs. Lots of protein. Don t consume alcohol or eat late at night (past say, 8pm). Drink tons of water. It can be done but will take serious commitment on your part. Good luck and don t be discouraged if you don t get all 15lbs off. as long as you re on the right track

its all about calories. so you need to find out your BMI, which u can usually find this on a BMI calculater off the internet and them see how many calories your own body burns in a day. then exercise at least 5 times a week. add up the calories, and you should be buring at least 2 to 3 pounds a week (3500 calories = 1 pound) good luck!!!

Quit eating.No really eat less and go to the gym. For health reasons you should not loose more than 2-3 pounds a week, so 15 by CHRISTmas will be a little hard unless you are quite a bit over weight. As long as you burn more calories than you take in you will loose weight. You need to burn about an extra 3500 calories a week to loose a pound (I think)

I am 58-59 and starting a weight loss program - I need a goal!? -

What weight do you think looks good and healthy for a medium build girl at that height. I am currently FAT at 260, but I want to be perfect! (AND I WILL BE) I just have to set a goal with the program, and I don t know what to set.

well 5 9 is pretty tall so to be a nice weight that you feel comfortable at I would say around 170-180 but to be nice and super thin it would be around 140-150

well, keep setting different goals. start out at 240. once you reach that goal, make your new goal 220. Then 200. Then 180. So, just keep changing it as you go. Then, once you are happy about the way you look, try to maintain that weight. Good luck =)

I m 5 10 and at my max I was 165 but I felt chubby and began working out and eating healthy and now I m at 135, hopefully getting down to 130 again. At my lowest I was 122.

You shoud aim for a goal of around 150 lbs.

I say 175. You are tall. I don t know how you are shaped but 175 is a nice solid weight.
