How to lose weight quickly and effectively? -

So all my life I ve been overweight...I m 5 4 and 198 pounds. I work out 3 to 4 times a week ranging from 1-to 4 hours, I play badminton, and take PE early in the morning. I hardly eat too. I mean heaklhy portions of cereal or an organic fruit bar for breakfast, a healthy lunch at home(salad and a sandwich), and I might not even have dinner because I don t get hungry and I don t eat after seven unless its an orange or a banana. I stopped eating too much chocolates and sweets, stopped Starbucks, and stopped drinking sodas and sugary drinks. I need to find SOME way to lose weight because I ve always tried and rarely get results. HELP PLEASE!!!

well keep up the exercise maybe increase the number of days.also, drink lots of water and green tea(boosts up metabolism)

1. Drink water... flood your system with a gallon a day2. No fast food or soda... it sucks but if you want it you have to sacrifice3. 20-30 minutes of intense cardio (interval workouts... look them up)4. Eat breakfast (special K with skim milk) and eat turkey and roast beef for lunch, grilled chicken for dinner (it will get old so get a lot of seasonings and sides5. Lift weights (muscle destroys fat!)6. Do not eat late at night... and make sure you eat a healthy snack like yogurt or fruit a couple times a day7. CONSISTENCY... cant stress thta one enough, do it for 3 weeks and youll be set, NO CHEATING8. Also make sure you take baseline measurements (BMI, body fat %, circumferences, BP, HR, and other measurable criteria). This will help you track progressGood luck and stick with it

i admire ure commitment and ure decision to eat healthier..good for u and congrats!! exercsei is great for u and good job on doing a lot! hmmm, maybe consult ure doctor to help u plan ure diet....what ure doing i great so far!! i suggest eating at least 1500 calories daily MINIMUM though! never go under that!! lots of veggies and fruits..no soda

It sounds like you re doing the right thing...Only, my dad lost 50 pounds in 3 months and everyday he had one of those 190 calorie breakfast squares in the morning, he skipped lunch and went on a 5 mile walk, and for dinner, it was purely vegetarian. This is really hard though and u need a lot of will power and dedication. You will have to follow that plan religiously (though I m sure there s other great ways to lose weight too but this one definitely works)

I swim every day for 60-90 minutes. Is that too much as a part of my weight loss program? -

Im 23 and I weight 80 kilos and Im165 cm tall. For the past two months, Ive been swimming 7 days a week for an hour to 90 minutes, and also Ive been working out with my personal trainer for an hour, 4 times a week. And Ive been on a 1200 to 1400 calorie diet. Im hoping to loose 50 pounds. Im wondering if Im doing too much exercise. Do I swim too much? I don t want to end up with big arms. what do you recommend?

I think it is wonderful that you are working towards a healthy life! I m around your age also and I just think it is so important to be healthy now, then fright when we are older and we don t have the capacity anymore to work hard at getting healthy. I used to exercise 2 hours a day and take in around 1500-2000 calories a day. I would suggest that you take in some more protein during this time - you are a little under what I call healthy calorie intake for a highly active lifestyle. Your calorie count would be find for someone that doesn t do exercise however I would say your body isn t goign to lose as much weight if you don t eat a little more. You have to eat more when you are exercise and training - so that you can lose more. It is strange to say that however studies show that it is true. You have to have energy to use the energy. (If that makes sense.) My rule of thumb is, if I feel good and don t feel tired, then I am fine.I have attached some links that might help you find the appropriate amount of exercise and food intake for your body type. Good Luck with the training and losing weight!

Isn t that a question for your personal trainer ?I would think with everything you are doing, the swimming is an aerobic activity, equivalent to running, which burns close to or just about, the same number of calories as swimming.

It is a matter of what you are comfortable with. It is certainly an excellent way to burn calories, and as long as you can stand doing it, I d say keep it up.

Depends on the intensity of your swimming. If it is recreational swimming, then it s not really doing much good for your weight loss program. If you are swimming in training (aerobic) mode, then it s very beneficial to your weight loss program. HOwever, I suggest you take one day off per week and just concentrate on stretching and range of motion exercises. This gives your body a rest and lets your muscles heal also.About your diet and the intensity of your swimming. I think you should be eating 4-6 times a day to prevent weakness during swimming. Exclude these foods from your diet and replace them with healthier foods:No alcoholno breadno burgersNo candyNo chipsno cornno fried foodsNo pastaNo pizzaNo potatoesNo sodasNo sugarGood Luck

swimming is a wonderful form of exerciseit doesn t give you big armsIt creates lean, sinewy, arms with broader shouldersswimmers have very attractive body formsCongrats on the dedication to get healthier

No, but you might want to up your calories a little bit...complex carbs will help fuel your workout regimen, digest easily and won t put more weight on you.

Hi, how are you doing! If your concerned about losing weight try reading the following article!Eat What You Like and Lose Weight. Really!http://boeafitness.com/index.php?option=com_content task=view id=38 Itemid=27

How can i lose weight quickly? -

stop eating all together.and just run and exercise.X]

a lot of quick weight lose options never last long best thing to do is eat smaller amounts of food but more often. So instead of eating 3 big meal eat 5 good size meals. Doing this will raise your metabolism to burn more. Combine this with a well thought out work out plan and you ll see result that last.

It really depends on what you re looking to do. If you want to lose alot of weight, then losing it fast is not the way to go if you want to keep it off. Eventually you gotta learn that there s no real quick fix to losing weight. If you need to lose a couple pounds for a special event or something and aren t worried about gaining them back you could try water pills. One of my friends took them before her wedding because she was nervous about her dress fitting. It worked like a charm, she lost 5-10 lbs. But she gained it back since you naturally retain water. Good luck!

You might think about trying this book called The Movie Star Diet by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn t think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout as well.

if you lost weight quickly, you would not be able to keep it on.so it s POINTLESS.just eat frequent, healthy meals and exercise.

You can t lose your weight quickly

Anyone know anything about quot;Lighter Lifequot; weight loss program? -

I m interested and wondered whether their claims of success were genuine. Also, nowhere on the website is there any mention of how much this all costs. Any advice would be great thanks

Hello,Yes, know alot about it, its very expensive - works out to be about 250 per month. You are not allowed to eat anything!!! You feel terrible - you have to drink 4 litres of water a day at least. You lose on average a stone a month.... thats if you can only drink these milkshakes (4 per day) - my friend lost 6 stone - I tried it for a month and just couldnt do it, I felt sooo hungry and dizzy. My friend has since put all her weight back on after coming off the diet and I am following a sensible eating plan. Believe me - this is the best option. I feel so much better and the weight is falling off me because my body doesnt feel like its in starvation mode. Takes a little bit longer but you will feel so much better for it. Good Luck x

Hi,My aunt did the Lighter Life program. She did lose 4st in less than a year but I worry about the health implications. It is v.expensive about 200 a month and not very satisfying.Try WeightWatchers points diet it is brilliant and you never feel deprived I lost 4st 6 years ago and haven t put any back on (it took me about a year too). I also eat healthily in everyday life now too, don t get me wrong I still eat sh** sometimes but I have it programmed in me to eat the right things.

Is there any cleanse and weight loss program besides Isagenix? -

I look Isagenix up I like to try it but it cost too much. I would like cleanse my body and lose weight too.

Not sure about others, but I do know Isagenix worked for me. My biggest expense has been buying a new wardrobe. When you really do the math the program works out to around less than $5 a meal. My grocery bill is smaller now than ever and I m looking and feeling better!Having great health is amazing!Good Luck.

I joined as an associate with Autoship so I could get the wholesale rates. and save $13 on the membership fee. Note you can turn off the autoship right after signing up with no penalties. All these rates are posted on their web site. Report Abuse

How can I lose weight quickly? -

The first thing you need to know, is that I m not some scrawny girl who wants to lose weight when she doesn t need to. I m overweight and need to weigh about half of what I currently do. I can feel the physical effects on my body. I need to quickly drop from 240 to 185 by June. Any tips? btw, I m vegetarian. I changed last year and it made me lose 15lb immediately and I ve kept that off. the only reason i m mentioning this because people talking about diets often mention eating lean meats and that s not something i m willing to do. :)

Have a look at all the thousands of resolved questions on how do I lose weight quickly!

There is one very effective way to lose the wait n stay fit and active for entire day... Its proved..and own experience!Early in the morning, have lukewarm water if possible have it with a teaspoon of honey n lime juice and Just walk faster (No running) at least for 1 or 2 km. Don t stop immediately, slow down the speed and then complete stop. It really works! Results are seen within a week. This should be your very first thing to do in the morning. Avoid tea/coffee!Just go for maximum salad in your diet, instead of heavy food in lunch/dinner. It will help to keep your diet healthy and light..as its summer. Have loads of juice s and water intake, which will prevent the dehydration and will keep you energized. Hope this will help you.

well, i did something stupid and i downed a whole bottle of weight loss pills , and girl , dont be ashamed of your weight , i was 280 , but i sure didint look it , i had little fat on my belly , my family is big boned and tall , which i got from. but yeh i downed a bottle of weight loss pills and i went from 280 - 192 in about a month , but please don t try this as i was consequenced in 3day life support. i feel boney as hell. and im wishing ive never done that. so ya thats the quickest way, I RECOMMEND YOU NOT TO DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!!

Start lifting weights, do a program like rippetoe s starting strength. Then also do some HIIT running, cycling through walking and jogging if you can t run/jog the whole time. Couple that with common sense healthy eating and you re golden.

Start walking every day, running/jogging at a slow pace too- always keep moving. Drink water, take 30 seconds between bites of food, slooow down eating, sleep more.

BURPYS!

well this is hard to do go to italy and piss of a mafia and run like hell its wht id do

runrunrunrunrun

well i dont recomend it because of the health risks involved but it sure helped me lose some lbs....i stopped eating, then my immune system weakened and i got sicker then i usually do and it lasted a while, well that there was even mroe weight. i stopped eating dairy, and switched to diet soda, and lean meats sorry but i did... u dont have any meat even better....so then i bought my iron gym bar, and some leg weights, and whenever i felt the urge to eat i went and did a small workout, not even enough to break a sweat like 10 pullups and a few more pushups or something... this was a healthy alternative to eating outta boredom..i also started walking eveywhere, and going out more also stopped watching tv... i wish i could say i stopped my computer but i doddnt become that unattached to the world, anyways ive lost a few pounds...quite a few...however dropping 100s of pound in a few months might need some lipo and tummy tucks?

Although dieting is going to be really helpful to you, exercise is going to be equally beneficial, if not more so. Find your way to a gym as often as possible, and eat healthy foods that incorporate carbs. You NEED them especially if you re exercising to lose weight. Vegetarianism is awesome, and definitely keep that up. Try taking up swimming or biking if the typical running, workout-machine routine is kind of boring for you. Not to mention swimming and biking will burn more calories. :)If I m being honest, I don t think that you should drop that much weight by June, but if you CAN do it healthily, then that s wonderful. But health is the main concern here. Don t over eat, don t over exercise. Find a nice, happy medium that makes you HAPPY while you re doing it. It shouldn t feel like a chore, but a lifestyle.Good luck!

Weight loss programs amp; prepackaged delivered foods? -

Have any of you ever been on them?I m looking to do one that doesn t taste too bad and that actually provides results and is not too expensive. If you ve ever been on one like Nutrisystem or Jenny Craig could you tell me about your experience and how much it cost for you?

I would recommend that you create your own diet, for example I drink a slim fast optima along with a banana for breakfast in addition to coffee or tea. For lunch and dinner I have a healthy choice meal, and for snacks I eat fresh fruit. The key is caloric control so for example if you wanted to weigh 130 pounds then multiple 130 pounds by 10 which equals 1300, this means that you must consume 1300 calories daily to reach a goal of 130 pounds. I weighed 200 pounds and now weigh 123 pounds and have kept it up by caloric control and mild exercise.I also indulge my cravings sometimes then I resume my diet the following day. If you would like to contact me for diet support go to forensichypnosis@yahoo.com

I use the Kenzen Body Balance system, it was fantastic for me. you can only get through my company though. I sure there are others that are close but I ll stick with mine. It has the body cleansing system, burn, shakes, and the rev up, which helps boost the energy naturally.
