On a diet, I ve lost 9 pounds in a month. Is this is a steady weight lost? I went from 143.5 to 134.5.

How? Im around that weight a little lighter..I need to lose some weight before school shopping so what are you doing? Plz email me what ur doing and Yes 9 pounds a month is great!

This sounds like a good diet, what did u use. This is very healthy bweight loss

That is very good. As long as you are not under your target weight loss, that is good.

that s not bad as long as you maintain what you eat. remember not to decrease too much food. your lose weight is still reasonable even if it s quiet fast.

Well ive lost a stone in a month they say it falls off fast at the start. ive been told 2/3 pounds a week is safe Good luck

depends on what is right for you. remember the faster u lose weight, the easier it is 2 gain back

Your body is a very delicate system that has a lot of safeguards in place to prevent you from doing a lot of unhealthy things. When it comes to weight loss, most people say weight when they really mean fat. Fat loss is difficult to achieve and maintain. In your case, you re not doing too badly. The maximum healthy amount it is normally recommended to lose is 1-2 lbs of fat per week. You seem to be a little higher than average, which means you probably sacrificed some lean tissue (muscle and water, most notably) while slimming down.A decent way to measure your real progress is to do body fat tests as you monitor your weight. The all important Mirror Test is a good measure too: simply look in the mirror and judge how you look (you can also ask friends to be honest with you too). Record your body fat and weight values each week (daily will show too much variation from water weight). When you have your body fat percentage (you can use calipers designed to get it for you) and your weight, you can find out how much fat you have and how much lean mass you have. An example is this:Joe weighs 180 lbs, and has a body fat percentage of 20%. His body fat is approx. 36 lbs, while his lean mass is approx. 144 lbs. He starts working out every other day jogging and doing some basic cardio, while monitoring his diet, then takes his measurements again after a week. Joe finds out that he now weighs 176 lbs, with a body fat of 19%. His body is now 33.44 lbs and his lean mass is 141.76 lbs. He lost a little bit of his fat and a little lean muscle, but he s doing ok.Joe will eventually have to decide to start a muscle building routine, and focus less on fat loss. He ll probably do this once he hits about 10-12% body fat. From this example you should be able to see that it isn t how much you weigh, it s where that weight comes from. As long as your body fat is going down, then your weight loss is perfectly healthy.Last Note: You can find decent body fat calipers on the internet for about $20. It ll be invaluable if you really want to monitor your fitness levels.

It s not bad. Healthy weight loss is between 1/2 to 2 pounds per week. So around 9 pounds, give or take. So, you re good.
