How to lose weight fast? -

I heard that you have to burn extra calories a day to lose weight. Is that true? Would it be possible to lose weight by just eating 1,000 calories a day and only doing sit-ups/push-ups? If so, how much?

by doing only sit ups you gain muscle underneath your belly fat which will make it look bigger.find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.dont try to lose more than 1-2lbs a week - its not healthy to lose more.eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day8 glasses of waterhave complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energyhave lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs musclecardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight trainingdont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.

Doing sit ups only builds up muscle. It doesn t help you lose weight. Try eating healthy foods and less sugar. Exercise for a half an hour a day by walking around your block or getting a tredmil.

To lose weight in a healthy way, do a lot of cardio (running, swimming, bike riding, etc..) and eat healthy things. If you starve yourself or eat foods with empty calories, you may lose weight, but you wont look good once you do. Push-ups and sit-ups will help with muscle tone, but wont help you lose weight. On the contrary, you may gain weight as muscle weighs more than fat.

Here is an excellent site with some wonderful options 4 U.

you can lose 8 lbs. off the top of yer neck instantly with a guillotine! :)

eating less then 1000 calories a day isnt a healthy thing to do. the average body burns 1500 -2200 calories on its own without extra excersise. what you need to do is go to any website that has a calorie calculater. (or see your doctor, preferably) enter your personal information (hight, weight, age ect...ect...) and find out the approx.number of calories your body will burn on its own without extra effort. then decrease that by 500. thats how many calories you should take in per day. stay away from soda, fastfood, and candy. eat lots of fruit and vegetables and drink tons of water(minimum 1/2 gallon a day) add 30 minutes to 1 hour of light to moderate fitness (walking, running, swimming) per day and you will loose weight. everyone loses at a different pace. dont be in a hurry. the faster you lose it the easier it is to gain back. slower weightloss will stick with you.

I found a great way to lose weight fast and keep it off. I do body cleansing. I lost 13 pounds in 9 days and then 28 pounds in less than a month. Cleansing will help the body get rid of impurities. Impurites come from a lot of things like fast food, pollution, food additives and preservatives etc. The impurities get stored in the fat in our body. To shrink the fat, we have to get rid of the impurities by cleansing. This made sense to me and I decided to try a cleanse program and it worked. The weight came off fast and this kept me motivated to keep going, not like other diets where the weight loss it too slow. well you have to burn more then you eat, so if you did enough situps and pushups to work off 1,000 calories a day then yes eventually you d lose weight. You have to burn 3,000 calories to lose 1 lb so say you burned 1,500 calories a day and you only ate 1,000 calories a day then it would take you 6 days to lose 1 lb. Good Luck!
