How to lose weight?? -

i would like to lose 50 pounds in 2 months or less, but i wanna know if eatin small portions 5 times a day really works; if it does what should i eat and should i exercise more? i would like to know a better efficient way to lose weight quick

Here is an answer I put up a little while ago, but first let me say that losing 50 lbs in 2 days is very dangerous and not really realistic...Well, there really aren t any easy ways to lose weight, and that is why all the fad diets fail in keeping weight off.Two of the easiest ways of losing weight are surgery (not talking about liposuction, which is technically removal of fat rather than distributed weight loss) and medications. They are for extreme cases.Medications can be perscribed by your doctor and are usually given to people with BMIs (Body Mass Index) starting at about 28. Those people are in danger of becoming obese (BMI greater than 30).Surgery, is usually only used in people that are morbidly obese (BMIs greater than 40, but sometimes between 35 and 40). There are two major classes of surgery. First, lap bands are used to decrease the size of the stomach so that people don t eat as much. Second, gastric bypass surgery connects your stomach to a lower part of your intestine, thus bypassing most of your intestine and limiting absorption. Needless to say, both surgeries come with their side effects--gastric bypass having the most.Having said that, the best way to lose weight is through moderation and exercise. Weight gain (and loss) is about energy balance. If you are gaining weight, you are eating more energy than you are expanding. Moderate exercise of 60 minutes for 3 or 4 times a week should be fine. It s alright to start slower and then increase the number and length. The key is to be comfortable and pick something that you enjoy doing. Also, for weight loss, you want the activity to be low intensity. The body burns the most fat when there is not such a significant increase in heart rate. This form of exercise is also shown to redistribute weight, so you may start losing that fat from your belly. So the key is to start at a comfortable level and work up to 4 sessions of 60 minutes of mederate exercise.Your diet should be balanced and including all 5 food groups. Read the lables of the foods you are eating to really pay attention what is in each of your meals. Depending on your body size (height and frame), you want to eat about 2000 calories a day, which is about average. It seems counter intuitive, but you don t want to eat too little. If you don t eat enough, the body goes into starvation mode and starts to conserve fat. Your metabolism goes down and suddenly it s harder for you to lose weight (another way to increase your metabolism is to spread your meals/eating out... instead of eating two large meals, eat 4 smaller ones throughout the day). Aim for no more than 30% of caloric intake to come from fats. Fats pack a ton of energy. When you do have fats, you should look for polyunsaturated fats and monounsaturated fats. Definitely stay away from trans fats and saturated fats. Finally, watch your portions sizes. the easiest way to reduce how much you eat is to slowly reduce your portion sizes. This isn t an easy task, but it will pay off in the end. Set goals and reward yourself when you reach them.

yea it works

I have had great results with an all natural product called Isagenix. This product is only available by distributor. If you would like to know more please email me at bignlild@msn.com

That s nearly impossible even with the help of drugs. 5 small portions will help though. And Running or jogging whenever possible. I lost about 30 pounds in 2 month, but I was eating almost nothing and running about an hour a day in 100 degree weather and walking everywhere I went (Including the store). It sucks and you ll always be tired, but if you want to lose weight bad enough...And also drink a lot of water. It will help flush fat out. If you want to lose inches though, try getting an American body wrap. That helps a lot.

Ah...the quest for the magic bullet. It took 6 months to put that 50lbs on, yet we want to take it off in 2 months. ok.. here s how:High protein, low carbohydrate diet. Get a book on this that lists carb values of different foods. Stay under 30 grams of carbs a day. Drink a minimum of 80 oz of water (not just fluids...WATER) a day. This will flush out the wastes generated by dissolving fat (the most important waste to get rid of are known as Keytones). Cut portion size. 6 meals a day (meal being defined as a few bites..not plateful) or whenever hungry...not just when feeling empty. Walk for a MINIMUM of 30 minutes a day, brisk pace.If you do all this..you will lose the weight in a hurry. It is not a healthy way to do it.. but it is a fast way.

Diet And ExciseTrimspa (It is not Regulated by the FDA, but really does make you lose weight.)Hollywood 48-Hour Miracle Diet (lose weight REALLY fast but it comes right back. Once again, It is not Regulated by the FDA)http://www.kidshealth.org/teen/food_fitn

jsuteat breakfast lunch and dinner in protion control. thast all u need to do and excersie for 30 mins.

it s dangerous to even try to lose 50 pounds in 2 months. The norm is about 2 pounds per week, and the way you lose the 2 pounds per week safely is to cut your calorie intake under 1300 calories, and exercise more than usual.

Try LA Weight Loss, it works really well!

Eating smaller portions does necessarily by itself. However, if you are serious about losing weight and want to lose as much as you can in 2 months then do what I have done. First, exercise. I don t care what anyone says, you must exercise. I power -walk no less than 4 to 5 miles per day. In other words, I walk no less than 50 minutes to an hour or more every day. Afterwards, I do floor exercises which are good for my book and tone my muscles. I do situps, pushups, leg exercises, and bending exercises. I drink no less than 5 to 7 glasses of water a day which helps curb my appetite and when I eat I watch what I eat. Eat vegetables, fruits, and some protein such as chicken, fish, and or turkey and occasionally beef. Watch your portions. Don t eat a lot of any meat at any time. Stay away from sugar drinks such as soft drinks, tea, coffee, etc. Don t eat sweets, cakes, pies, etc, but you can drink milk and eat ice cream but like I say not a lot of anything. I weighed 225lbs when I started and after a couple of months I weighted 169lbs. I have been as low as 160 and I am 5ft 8in tall. I have never felt better in my life and I look great or at least that is what my friends say, especially the ladies. I am toned and fit and I love it. Try it. It will be difficult at first but use your will-power and you wili make it. You must be determined.

exercise more, eat healthy food, eat one fat food a day, and get a good night sleep.

It seems that everybody wants to lose weight. But when most people say they want to lose weight, what they really mean is they want to lose weight without altering their current lifestyle. They want to lose weight without changing the foods that they eat, or without getting up off the couch, turning off the television, and engaging in regular physical exercise. Not surprisingly, there is a huge market that offers shortcuts to weight loss through cosmetic surgery, diet pills, nutritional supplements, and various diets -- such as the Atkins Diet. There s a growing group of people who leap from one weight loss fad to another, in search of the one thing that s going to finally help them lose weight without having to alter the foods they eat. People don t want to give up their soft drinks; they don t want to give up pizza, and ice cream, and fast food. And they sure don t have time to go out and exercise on a regular basis. So the shortcuts market is absolutely astounding -- $9.4 billion was spent last year on cosmetic surgery alone, and hundreds of millions more were spent on weight loss pills, fat burning nutritional supplements, and low-carb foods. It s a tremendous market, and the public seems to be more than willing to keep spending money on these items, even though the real answers are to be found in something entirely different. The reality of weight loss is that there are no shortcuts! You can have cosmetic surgery to remove fat from your thighs, or the back of your arms, but if you continue eating the way you ve been eating, your body will just deposit the fat somewhere else on your body -- usually in a place that looks even stranger than when it was on your hips. Even if the cosmetic surgery works out for you, it doesn t alter your blood chemistry, your cardiovascular health, or your level of physical fitness. Meaning that you are just as unhealthy after the surgery as you were before, even though you may physically show less body fat. Something similar is true with foods as well. Many people continue to eat a diet high in refined carbohydrates, added sugars, and obesity-promoting ingredients, such as high-fructose corn syrup. Then in an attempt to lose weight, they will take a couple of weight loss pills each day, and hope that those pills will some how counteract the entire day of eating unhealthy, obesity-promoting foods. It just doesn t work this way.If you really want to lose weight, you ve got to do two things. First you have to avoid foods that promote obesity and weight-gain. These are the foods that are consumed by the vast majority of Americans, and are the ones that are the most popular in grocery stores and restaurants. Any food that s processed or manufactured is very likely to promote obesity, or some other chronic disease. Foods made with refined white flour or refined sugar, for example, will undoubtedly alter your blood sugar levels and tell your body to start storing fat. Foods high in saturated animal fats, such as red meat, or foods that are high in hydrogenated oils, like margarine or shortening, will also pack on the body fat, and harm your cardio-vascular health at the same time. Achieving a healthy body weight absolutely requires taking these foods out of your diet for the rest of your life. You can have either soft drinks and processed foods, or a healthy body weight -- but not both. In fact, much of the foods available today in the national food supply are simply incompatible with a healthy body weight, no matter how much surgery you undergo, and no matter how many weight loss supplements you attempt to take. The other part of the equation here is physical exercise. The human body simply won t shed excess body fat without engaging in regular physical exercise. Physical exercise gives you a much higher metabolism; it helps you burn calories, even while you re sitting or sleeping. It also increases your lean body mass -- especially when you engage in strength training -- and that results in even more calories being burned when you are at rest. Physical exercise, in fact, modifies your body chemistry in a way that helps your body better use refined foods such as breads or pasta. When you eat those foods without engaging in physical exercise, you re automatically going to add weight. But when you have an extremely fit body that engages in regular exercise, such as jogging, swimming, walking, or biking, you can get away with eating a few processed foods. But still you have to limit your intake of processed foods if you want to maintain a healthy body weight. In my own case, I engage in rather vigorous physical exercise several times per week, typically putting in 10 hours of exercise each week. And even then, I don t allow myself to eat any breads or pasta or refined carbohydrates of any kind. I don t consume breakfast cereals; I don t drink fruit-drinks or consume soft drinks. And what I ve found is that if I eat a piece of bread or have a sandwich, then those refined carbohydrates alter my blood sugar in a way that makes me extremely hungry three or four hours later. If I had eaten a high protein meal, or a meal high in healthy fats and fibers, I wouldn t be hungry so quickly. So it is these processed foods that are in fact causing the obesity in the first place. And consuming diet pills or weight loss supplements simply isn t the answer to long-term weight loss. The answer is to look at your lifestyle, examine what you re doing wrong that needs to be corrected, and then have the courage to make the changes that will bring you into a healthy body weight and keep you there for life

The most important thing if you want to lose weight is not making a diet change rather a LIFESTYLE change. You gotta change your whole state of mind...not just for a temporary time-otherwise anything lost will be gained again. You have to make a daily habit out of a healthy eating routine. Eat when you re hungry...but stick to proper portion sizes and try eating things that are filling as well as nutritional...such as grilled chicken and the largest food group- GRAINS. Add some spice for flavor...my favorite is Frank s Red Hot sauce on chicken or veggies...which the pepper is great for stimulating your metabolism and its delicious!! The other MAIN thing about what you eat is keeping your meals balanced according to the food pyramid and your stats. NEVER skip out on the veggies and fruits...and don t eat meat portions larger than your palm and of course go sparingly on the sweets..but don t totally deny yourself from something if you totally have to have it because that will make you end up breaking in the long run and going crazy over what you didn t let yourself have. And of course...talk to your doctor before you do anything...he/she can give you a lot of info as well and give you some more tips. GOOD LUCK!

well eat not as much as you do eat now you eat very very littlePortions like about 7 times a day and go for a run for 20min and after that walk a round for 5min. and eat no junk food at all!!!!!!

You didn t put in on overnight, you can t healthily get it off overnight (and keep it off). Max recommended weight loss per week, to be able to keep it off, is 3 - 4 lbs...that would put you at a max of about 32 lbs in 2 mos. Many experts recommend up to 6 small meals per day, instead of the typical 3 large ones...eating every 2 hrs keeps your metabolism up, which in turn burns more calories...just keep your calorie intake lower than usual to lose pounds (say 1200 to 1500 a day), and exercise regularly...try for an hour (or more) a day, 5 days a week...doesn t have to be all at once either, you can workout some in the morning and some in the evening, or break it up however it works best for you.Eat right...drink lots of water, cut out junk foods and such, and exercise and you ll be on your way to seeing those pounds disappear...just remember once you reach your goal you ve got to continue monitoring what you eat, and stay active so you don t regain the weight.Good luck!

Good carbs like celery and carrots will never make you fat. Bad carbs like cake will, but you don t need to know the whole science of glycemic load. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin and healthy. Find out about fastest way to lose weight, most effective exercise, good and bad carbs, water retention and secret trick used by models to flatten their tummy before an event.Reading a book will take you hours but the information on a post, taking minutes to read, is not enough. The webpage below has just enough to know what you need to know. Links page has gov. BMI calculater to find out just how much overweight you are (teens plug in your age to compare to others your age). Most important-- make sure to read the last fat loss tip , first before anything else, to see the number one food that causes Americans to be fat.http://www.phifoundation.org

The small portions 5 times a day thing *does* work. It speeds up your metabolism and lets you burn fat faster. As for how much, don t go for low-fat foods and what not. Just eat normal things like meat and fruits, maybe a salad too. And don t eat until you re full, just eat until you re not hungry anymore and save the rest for later.

eat nothing that has table sugar or white flour and drink lots of water :o)

First of all quit goin back for 5ths at the HomeTown Buffet! 8 ) Exercise for about a half hour a day. Like weights, walking or dancing. Watch out for those fatty foods that have all that yellow or orange grease. If you take out all that grease with a paper towel would help. ; ) They say you are what you eat. Chow down! = )

I found a great way to lose weight fast and keep it off. I do body cleansing. I lost 13 pounds in 9 days and then 28 pounds in less than a month. Cleansing will help the body get rid of toxins. Toxins come from a lot of things like fast food, pollution, food additives and preservatives etc. The toxins get stored in the fat in our body. To shrink the fat, we have to get rid of the toxins by cleansing. This made sense to me and I decided to try a cleanse program and it worked. The weight came off fast and this kept me motivated to keep going, not like other diets where the weight loss it too slow.
