Weight loss tips. seriously needed..? -

ok so i have never been thin ...i was a chubby baby and so on.. always had a big appetite. I eat way too much S**t...dont eat breakfast..and eat way to late at night. i have tried so many diets, the atkins dietthe cambridge dietslimming worldweight watchersetc..diet pills...healthy eating.. had my thyroid tested at the doctors to see if its anything to do with that, but still nothing..i am 17 now, and i think its really time i do something about it, its on my mind constantly and affects nearly everything i do.looking on the interenet you never know which things are actually going to work..there are so many articles written online that claim different things. Can anyone help?

Well, my suggestion is to take it slow change one thing a week. The best way to lose weight MAINTAIN that weight loss is to make lifestyle changes.Start week 1 by making yourself eat breakfast. I know it s hard to eat if you aren t hungry, but it ll keep you from eating something REALLY unhealthy before/during lunch.Week 2, (if you don t work out) start walking 15-20 minutes a day. Bump this up as you can :)When you go grocery shopping (if you do), make a list AHEAD of time shop around the perimeter (the outer aisles). What are some weight loss tips? -

Ok so I just got back from 2 weeks in Europe, and as most people do, I put on a good amount of weight, nothing I wasn t expecting but weight I want to get rid of. I go to the gym probably like 3 or 4 times a week and workout for like an hour but I haven t really loss much weight.I also have changed my diet a little and ya I m seeing results but not the kind I need, I really want to get in shape and it feels like I need something to give me the edge. Please any input or tips you have would be great, thanks guys!

I can give you some tips to get you too the next phase of fitness.If you can do LISS(low intensity steady state), early morning easy walking, even on a treadmill for 40mins on an empty stomach, you will burn fat, while holding onto your LBM(lean body mass), which is the key for you to burning fat. Always remember, if you do cardio and weights correctly, you will hold onto LBM, so you can burn fat. If you do things like run on a day you lift weights, you will burn up muscle, a no no, so always choose LISS early morning and 20mins after weights. If you want to run, or do run intervals,only run on days you don t lift weights.....so again, you hold onto muscle.For meals, you should be eating 5-6meals per day, protein/carbs/healthy fats(I wonder why you cut out complex carbs?) They are what supports energy building for LBM, along with protein and healthy fats.....so you boost your metabolism all day. You need to have the proper ratios to support LBM. Eat things like lean steak, grilled chicken breast, tuna, 1-yolk with 2 whites, toast, oatmeal, potatoes, cheerios, olive oil lightly drizzeled over your salad, 4 walnuts, danon light yogurt....with these choices, you can form 5-6 small meals or 2 as snacks easily!If you can eat properly to support LBM, and ignore the scale weight, you will look terrific! The above are some of the rules and tips I use for my clients for success! With all my clients, they learn that the scale moves slowly or not at all, or sometimes they gain, but that is because their muscle to fat ratio is so high, and muscle weighs more, but they lose inches and feel great, and need to buy new clothes!I hope this helps! Take a dance class, run everyday or just try a different diet. A salad diet wont work because salad stretches ur stomach.

Well working out only 3 or 4 times for an hour isn t that great if you really want to lose weight. Now, depending on what you do I would suggest joining a boxing/kickboxing club, it is probably one of the best work outs you will ever get, I went for 4 months and lost 30lbs, mind you I had a lot to lose... But ya you also have to eat well, what I usually ate was an egg white scramble in the morning with spinach, tomato, and onion.... a chicken salad for lunch.... and usually fish or steak for dinner with vegetables. It depends where you would like to see improvement.A workout that i use daily that worked for me is:45 squats a day60 jumping jacks55 power jumps or im a star jumps with 5 pound weights in each hand.45 minute walk20 sit ups then a 2 minute break then 20 morethen to get rid of love handles or side fat..lay on your side with whichever leg you want to start with on a chair laying on your side twist your upper body to sort of face the chair and do 20 sit ups, take a 2 minute break and do the other side.then to get rid of back fat..lay on your stomach, put both hands on the back of your head and do back crunches. Because some people s back is weaker i would reccomend starting out with smaller numbers of back sit ups becasue doing to much on the first time can injur your back. all i can say for that is know your limits.Some more abbdomen workouts:Do the plank. get in the push up position and hold your stomach in and hold that plank for thirty seconds. take a thirty second break and then go at it again.Do the lemon squeezer. start laying on your side in the fetal position, roll on your back and slowly let go of your legs and hold your arms on the outside of your legs. hold that for as long as you can bear.Also if your skipping breakfast, start eating it, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. If your worried about overeating then eat a light breakfast but eating nothing causes you to over eat later in the day.So that s what i have learned over expierience, i hope this helps!! Good luck! I have been through it all and know what s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising...This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it s good for the heart.However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It s so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I ve found a great addition to help any one out, it s a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don t get all crazy on me and say diet pills don t work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn t meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. Does anybody have weight loss tips for a 12 yr. old that does not like to diet or exercise????????? -

I was the same way when I was twelve. That s about the time I started taking a keen interest in girls and I noticed that they weren t particularly attracted to fat boys. At that time my mom was a little too accommodating with food. Six french toast for breakfast ... not a problem. Just eating better in the morning .... switching to cereal worked for me. Later on I did start exercising and working out ... it s hard to get started but once you do and notice positive changes ... it s hard to stop.

Find activities like roller skating or riding bikes with friends. It IS exercise, but because you re doing it just for fun, it doesn t seem so hard. While you re doing those things, you re not home and fishing through the refrigerator either! When you DO snack, try to make every other one something healthy. You don t have to cut out ALL junk food, but you can replace chips with celery and peanut butter now...and have chips tomorrow.

ok -- i started losing weight when i was about 11 or 12, and i lost 30 pounds in about 4 months.....if you stick to a plan, you should lose some weight. since you are in the growing time of your life, you need to make sure that you stay healthy -- do not stop eating....it is one of the worst ways to try to loose weight. what i did was replace sodas with water. i drank water with almost every meal. also, make sure you get yogurt and milk and stuff so you get calcium. make sure you get at least 8 hours of sleep each night. you could go for walks everyday....or a few days a week.....or you could walk around your house or something. eat lots of fruits and veggies. eat smaller portions of food, but eat about every 4 hours. try to eat supper about 3 and a half hours before you go to bed. if you want faster results, do some exercises each night before you go to bed -- i lost a lot of weight and got a nice flat tummy by doing this. try to find ways to burn calories - play outside with friends, play with any pets (if you have any).......don t sit on your butt and watch tv all day. :) and remember to reward yourself ..for example, if you set a goal to lose 2 pounds in a set amount of days, and if you reach that goal, reward yourself by going shopping or doing something that you d like to do. Well you could learn to love diet and exercise!Okay if thats not doing it for you get what you normally would to eat then cut it in half. Save the other half for later feed it to a dog what ever just eat half as much as you would regularly or try to mix it up trying some veggie or soy meat alternitives and getting low fat and low sugar substitutes. Also on exercise try joining a team sport your team will motivate you to give it your all and esspcially if you join a school sport you won t be tempted to give up as easily. Other then that you can try walking places you would nomally get a ride for like to the libary or a friends house. Little changes really add up and before you know it your a thinner healther you!

To lose weight you need to burn more calories than you ingest. I am sorry but a healthy diet and exercise are the best ways to lose weight:-( Try eating more high fiber foods (they make you fuller longer and eliminate more waste). Try cutting out sodas (even diet soda, the fake sugar makes you crave more of the real thing) Increase you daily water intake it will make you lose more weight. I have read that ice water speeds up your metabolism but I don t know how true this it. If you don t like the taste of plain water you can add a lemon wedge to it or mint sprigs.Cut out things like high fats and high sugar items. Subsitue them with a fruit that you like (for sugar). Eat good fats that are plant based. These fats will not make you fat! Try eating hummus with your vegetables or on a sandwich instead of dips and mayo.Don t listen to the jackass that told you to throw up. Being healthy is the most important thing.

Well, nobody really likes to diet or excercise. Just eat healty, don t starve yourself. As far as excercise goes....just get outside, and see the world. You ll be surprised what will happen when you get off your rear end and see whats out there!!!

Since a 12 yearold is still growing....maybe you should try to maintain their weight and not concentrate on losing.If you are the parent you can help out by not keeping a lot of bad food in the house. Soda is the worst.and...shut the tv OFF!

How do I keep myself motive to loose weight.? -

I read all the weight loss tips and I say to myself I will do it tomorrow morning. The morning comes and I do nothing. So, how do I even start and stay motivated.

Aw lol yes its hard, but remember weight loss respondes to exersize aswell. the key is to make a plan.. Plan your eating for the day, then you dont mess up by snacking, and dont make it too intense so your starving yourself, just eat small meals every 3 hours, it keeps you fill and over all you do eat less. And if exersize is you motive problem its also gud to plan that aswell, like do 3 sets of 20 pushups and 3 sets of prison squats then a 20 minute run! If you try to make it too hard you will lose that motavation all togeather... well good luck!

I d say keep doing what you are doing...it takes time. It took me 6 months to lose 25lbs. but I have kept it off consistently. I need some weight loss tips, e.g. excercise routines? -

I had to stop participating in games and sporting excercises for just under two years. Since then ive been what I call Big - I am big. For Goodness sake im 12st9lb. Ive tried and tried to lose weight, it fluctuates sometimes, but I appear to just be getting bigger right now! Does anyone have any good excercise routines, please? I have a lateral thigh trainer and a treadmill. Unfortuantely being this big AND having Osgoodschlataz (spelling glitch) and Severs Condition makes excercise very tiring and painful for me. I personally try my best. It s getting to the point now, because im young, that if i carry on and don t do something - I m going to slowly make my self ill. I am going away for Thanksgiving, more precisely 4 days. Four whole days without my gym! I don t know if I will be able to fit in exercise while I am away and I am really scared of gaining weight. you can always do stretches and some cardio workouts at home and be not needing your gym.or you can try these.First: Do a high impact exercise before going to bed. Also, drink plenty of water and do not eat before you go to bed. Doing these things will ensure that you burn plenty of calories. Next: Look through a magazine and find a picture of how you want to look like. Think yourself slim or sexy as you fall asleep, or tell yourself an affirmation before you go to bed. Doing these things will keep you motivated and determined to achieving your goal. Third: Drink water upon rising early in the morning. This will wash away all the fat cells and cleanse your body for the day.

Stick with Turkey instead of Ham, there are less calories and fat. Also, avoid sugar and starchy food, like mashed potatos.
