P90x dose it really work? -

I was watching TV and saw that ad for p90x which is a weight loss program, has any one tried it and dose it really work like they said it dose? Where you become ripped in just 90 days? Thank you all!!!

Weight loss became a permanent drag for me until I tried out acai berry. I know they say that pills do not work, nevertheless they sure worked for me, and they ve been shown on CNN too. There is a free trial on at the moment at http://salovs.chrisanddani.info, give it a try , what s the worst that could happen?

How can you drop weight in 30 days? I have a class reunion and need some ideas on rapid, healthy weight loss? -

Walk every day for at least 30 minutes, drink plenty of water, eat foods that are low in fat and carbs.

You could take a lot of laxatives and drink a lot of water.

Drink lots of water, and cut out on meats and starches such as potatoes as well as bread. Also try to exercise daily. Even just walking will help.

It is not humanly possible to loose more than 2 pounds a week. If you are loosing more than that you are only loosing water content. Screw a diet. Work out like crazy and drink lots of water.

Why is this suddenly a problem. If you truely care about yourself you wouldn t set some arbitrary date to make your former peers happy.

Go easy on the food and maxamize your workout time!

Are all Commercial weight loss diets similarly effective?!? -

Commercial weight loss diets are all similarly effective at 6 months, and those with support are more effective at 12 months, according to the results of the randomized BBC diet trials reported in the June 3 issue of the BMJ. Participants in these trials were filmed as part of a BBC television series. Most adults in the United States diet at some time, and trends in the United Kingdom are similar, write Helen Truby, MD, from the University of Surrey, Guildford, United Kingdom, and colleagues. Long term success rates are poor, with 50% of weight loss being regained within one year. Although commercial diets provide consumers with a plethora of choice, data on their comparative efficacy are limited. Using a community-based sample of otherwise healthy overweight and obese adults, this 6-month, multicenter, unblended controlled trial compared 4 popular commercial weight loss programs with a control group. These diets were the Slim-Fast plan (a meal replacement approach), Weight Watchers pure points program (an energy-controlled diet with weekly group meetings), Dr Atkins new diet revolution (a self-monitored low carbohydrate eating plan), and Rosemary Conley s eat-yourself-slim diet and fitness plan (a low-fat diet and a weekly group exercise class). Primary endpoints were changes in weight and body fat during 6 months.Compared with the control group, all diets were associated with a significant loss of body fat and weight during 6 months, but outcomes in the 4 diet groups did not differ significantly from each other. Intent-to-treat analysis revealed that average weight loss was 5.9 kg, and average fat loss was 4.4 kg during 6 months. Although the Atkins diet resulted in significantly higher weight loss during the first 4 weeks, it was no more or less effective than the other diets by the end of the study. At 12 months, 158 participants (54% of the original sample) returned data, and only 58 (45%) were still compliant with their assigned diets (9 to Atkins, 20 to Weight Watchers, 9 to Slim-Fast, 20 to Rosemary Conley). More participants in the unsupported programs (Atkins diet and Slim-Fast) withdrew than in the supported programs (P = .04), and weight rebound after the initial 6 months was higher in the unsupported programs. All diets resulted in a clinically useful weight loss of around 10% after 12 months in participants who had kept to their original diet. Clinically useful weight loss and fat loss can be achieved in adults who are motivated to follow commercial diets for a substantial period, the authors write. Given the limited resources for weight management in the NHS [National Health System], healthcare practitioners should discuss with their patients programmes known to be effective. Study limitations include varied compliance with each diet, small number of participants, and effect of media interest on motivation to meet goal weights and patients expectations of weight loss. One of the authors has disclosed receiving consulting fees for serving on the scientific advisory panel of Slimming World. In an accompanying editorial, David Arterburn, MD, MPH, from the Group Health Center for Health Studies in Seattle, Wash, notes the high costs of some commercial diets and the low rate of ongoing compliance with the assigned diets at 1 year. The challenge to researchers in obesity is to take weight loss studies, especially those involving commercial programmes and private funding, to the next level, Dr Arterburn writes. Diet Trials II would serve us best by evaluating long term health outcomes, cost effectiveness, and novel strategies of improving adherence and weight maintenance. Such strategies might include economic incentives for participants and researchers collaborating with employers and healthcare providers.

the bottom line ishow effective a diet is is measured on how sustainable it is. In other words, how realistic long term compliance will be. Because if you cant sustain it (i.e. its a fad) then you go back to your old ways and guess what, you gain again, and usually more fat through muscle loss.A cabbage soup diet is going to be nowhere near as sustainable as a rounded low fat diet. Which one do you think is going to give better LONG TERM results?

Help and advise on losing weight with type 2 diabetes? -

im looking for any advise on things i can do to lose weight. its kinda like breaking any bad habit. im finally focused and ready to take charge of my health. the hard part has been living with my boyfriend. he is one of those guys who can eat and do anything and never gain anything. its been so fusterating cause i cant get him to eat better and exercise.he has finally started getting a small belly and is ready to make some changes lol.. we have been dating 9 years. we plan on buying a treadmill today. other then that.. what are some things you have done to lose weight. im looking for more long term results and healthy weight loss. any small changes we can make? anything we should invest in to help?

1 its easier to keep weight off than to lose it2 any exercise better than none3 key is habit,,,exercise 3/4 times a week...4 eat know carb/calories items as much as u can [i eat same 1 piece bread/peanetbutter every day or same bowl of cereal...250/300 calories]5 dont give up even when you screw up...every day is new..6 good luck

eat smaller meals at regular times.

My experience is that going out and buying exercise equipment, such as the treadmill you plan to buy, is a complete waste of money. The underlying problem, I suspect, is that the person buying the treadmill is secretly hoping that buying some expensive equipment will provide the motivation to start exercising that was missing before. It may actually work for a short time, but eventually the memory of all the money you ve spent fades away and you go back to your former habits of just not finding the time or motivation to fit exercise into a busy schedule.I would say that what you need instead of a treadmill is to rearrange your priorities so that, at an agreed upon time every day, you have absolutely nothing in your life that s more important than exercise. Forget the treadmill and simply go outside and walk for half an hour or 45 minutes. That will be as good exercise as what you would get on a treadmill, and the fresh air and change of scenery make walking much less boring than the same amount of time on a treadmill. Once you get in the habit of regular daily exercise, you may want to add more vigorous workouts to your routine. But the absolute, number one essential is to make it part of your daily routine.

Name pill used on kimkin diet program? -

I am interested in the suppliment that the weight loss program KIMKIN is using. I went to the website but it cost $ to join and to find out. I heard it on MANDJ morning show. I beleive its something like CATOSISUS but that isnt not the correct spelling or word. Its the closest I could get to it. Thank you for your help. HAVE A GREAT DAY

This is all a scam, Kim the founder of this diet is a 350 pound women making a ton of money off people and risking there health also. Just drink alot of water and eat when your hungry not just because... Try going onto Ivillage.com or to www.caloriecount.com both of these site can help you ount and control your eating. Hope this helps you! Luck to you.

I have heard of that...and you are smart to join that KIMKIN diet, ....I had looked extensively into that some time ago and its a joke , its really no different than some of the others ....Just some woman who started making money off her own story.i ll see if i can find name of pill,.....and add to answer here if i find...i have looked..but cant find either. Have you seen all the negativity about this woman and her diet, ..so please ..find something else...and dont be quick to take any diet pills, they are not safe. Go to an all natural store, and talk to someone there, ..i have 2 that really do curb the appetite, safely, if you need that, ...the hoodia gord. is one, ...but be careful of the brand, the other is chromium pocalinate, (check spell, )...both are safe and chemical free, no heart damage!...good luck to you

Hydroxycut...? -

i eat healthy and i run as well but i wanna add hydroxycut to my weight loss program to speed it up...any suggestions as to which one i should use hydroxycut 24 or hardcore?..please no anti-diet pill answers....ive heard em all n i am aware of dem....yes i do take multivit daily and lots of water..

How much weight do you want to lose? I was always against diet pills I thought they didn t work and blah,blah,blah.. My best friend started losing weight and she was looking really good so I asked what her secret was and she told me she went to a diet clinic and saw a doctor and he gave her a diet pill called phentramine . I ve never taken a diet pill and I m a diabetic and i have high blood pressure so I was thinking I couldn t take it but I went and talked to the doctor anyway . Turns out it was no problem for me to take it The first month I lost 22lbs now I did exercise and I watched what I ate the pill just helps you not feel Hungary there is no magic pill that will shrink the fat away . I have exercised before and not lost weight so far I m down about 40lbs after the first month your weight loss slows down and the norm for the first month is usually about 10lbs I have told all my friends about it and some have tried it everyone I know has lost with it if you only want to lose 10 or 15 lbs I don t suggest it. But it has helped me before I was takingg 3 diabetic pills 3 times a day and 2 blood pressure pills now I m only takin 1 diabetic pill 1 time a day and 1 blood pressure pill. It hasn t given me any bad side affects I did feel a little jittery the first few days but not now I just feel so much more energetic I have a husband and a 3 year old plus I work full time so that can wear you down . There were some days before I couldn t make myself go to the gym I don t have those probs now plus if you are like me it is hard to stick with a diet and exercise unless you see results with this I started seeing them within a couple of days .. good luck

I would use the original formula...they also have one without the caffiene. You shouldn t get the hardcore until you know how well you would tolerate it. Just be careful and watch your dosage, take the smallest amount(1pill) to start to see how you react, no soda or products containing caffiene. I used this and it worked but one day I took one dose in the morning and forgot then took another before I went to work and passed out at work from it. Just be careful......

Hydroxycut Hardcore maybe, but still not worth it.Muscle Tech corp is a garbage company, over charge their products and full out liars.Look into other companies such as Anabolic Xtreme (stim X),Ergopharm (Amp), IBE (X-Force). I have used these fat burning stims before, I say for certain that these will help you to a certain degree if you got your diet, sleep and nutrients in check.

u obviously want answerers who will say it is great. try it.i would say the new drug alli looks more promising.consult a doc first

Hydroxycut is a caffeine pill. It will make your wallet lighter for sure and give you a first class case of jitters Nothing more...good luckActually they tell me they now have a caffeine free version available..so you won t even get the jitters for your hard earned money...If any of these things really worked we d all be taking them...If you read the label you ll see that it says when combined with proper diet and exercise.. so any weight loss will be from the diet and exercise part rather than the pills.

MARIJUANA AND WEIGHT LOSS? -

i smoke weed, very often, at least everyday. iv cut it back to only at night, so im not going to work stoned anymore, to keep up my production. i am also on a weight loss program (my own made up program(: ) im doing person al exercises every night, and because im young (19) just that small amount of exercise shows a difference everyday... i know weed makes me lazy and hungry, but iv kind of made an ultimatum for myself, i ll only smoke weed AFTER i do my exercises.... i don t know wehe im going with this, but my general question is how can i continue to smoke weed and still lose weight, or live a healthy lifestyle.....

from a one weed smoker to another, I ll have to say keep up the work-out routine and try to cut the weed to every other night if you can. pot sustains fat cells, so the les you smoke the more fat cells you can burn. yes pot does make you lazy and the munchies suck when you are trying to lose weight or tone up. so le less weed you smoke the better. good luck

weed doesnt make u gain weight if ur only smoking it once a day. jus stay away from food while getting high or store healthy food.but other than that weed is gre8 the other day i was reading about a research on weed and how it helped rats regenerate new brain cells.so yes u ll b fat but u ll b smart Report Abuse

Smoking is not conducive to a healthy lifestyle nor are drugs, but if you insist, I d suggest you ingest it rather than smoke it. At least this way you won t be coating your lungs with tar.You are at a pivotal point in your life: either you can grow out of it or make it a permanent part of your lifestyle. I would highly suggest you look at people with this lifestyle that are in their late 30s decide if that is really where you want your life to go. There are other options.Best of luck in your decisions.

You can do anything you put your mind to. Marijuana isn t addicting so don t fool yourself into thinking that you can t exercise and then smoke. Also, you can make better munchies food for yourself so when you crave pizza or jalepeno poppers, try a baked potato, garlic cauliflower, or a bowl of pasta. Good luck:)

I smoke too but never really have a problem with munchies and what not. I like to grub on my own, without the herbs. Anyways, I am trying to lose weight and noticed that sometimes after smoking I workout and can keep going even if I am tired. I think it s mainly because I m distracted and kinda forget what I m doing. So what I m trying to say is.. maybe you should drop the ho ho and pick up a dumb bell next time you fire it up.

Don t smoke it. If you need it, then cook it in something. Otherwise you re ruining your lungs and therefore your cardio. You ll fatigue faster and therefore be able to do less exercise. That s all the advice I have for you, other than that just follow a regular workout plan.

ummmm you can t. A lifestyle that is health and fitness oriented cannot include those kind of substances. Many trainers and fitness professionals also stress the importance of no alcohol (once in a while is ok - alcohol is also legal)

after you smoke it ur lazy so your just sitting there and your muscles are repairing faster. but you still need to drink protein if you wanna be ripped.
